“Mystic River Resort feels like you are staying in the Congo with an amazing staff, food, drinks, and rooms. The rooms do not have AC so we recommend staying here in the winter/spring unless you are used to the humid heat. The excursions available all around are awesome! And the food/drinks within town are amazing and CHEAP! We will definitely be back to the resort in the winter for a cooler experience as we see more temples.”

“An amazing experience! Abdiel, Rita, Ragner, and so many others took such good care of us. Such genuine people at a beautiful resort. Food was great! If you are up early enough you will see a wide variety of birds at breakfast. We even saw a few howler moneys in the evening! We did the ATM tour and appreciated the deep compassion and respect our guide (Ben) had for the history of the archaeological site. We'll be back!”

“The property is beautifully maintained and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. It's a little farther out of the "city centre" but taxis are easy and cheap. “Our cottage was wonderful and the bed so comfy! The grounds were beautiful, we were taken away as soon as we arrived. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The pool was a relief to have and so well maintained. And we loved the butterfly conservatory, we can't remember her name, sorry, but the girl that gave us the tour was so informative and easy to talk to. We will definately be back!”

“My sister and I loved our stay here! The restaurant is great, the staff is so helpful getting excursions booked, and the iguana project is wonderful. The photos do not do this place justice. Sitting by the pool as the sun began to go down and all the lights were on was simply beautiful! The hotel is on a big hill, so while I did do a lot of walking because town is very close - that may not be for everyone! ”

“Excellent stay here. The seclusion in the forest is a major plus. Best mixed drinks I had during my whole stay in Belize, including on Ambergris Caye. Food was excellent and home cooked.
