“A very nice remodel of a motor court motel with all new interior, heating, and plumbing. Comfortable with large TV and nice beds. Very clean. “My daughter that we were visiting near there has a severe allergy to strong scents, and we were thrilled to find the room and the reception area scent free! Only smell we could smell was new wood, which doesnt bother her. The staff said they use environmentally conscious cleaning products. Also having windows to open in case there were scents was helpful. Staff were wonderful, breakfast was pretty good unless you have allergies, though they did have almond milk. “I booked the Spruce Room, which has extremely dated pictures online. There have been years of use when you actually view the place. The kitchen has stains and marked up tiles, bathroom is barely clean with black mold in the back of toilet. All 4 of our beds had dirty linens and since there is no on-site manager, they had us raid the emergency shed and hopefully retrieve extra sheets. These sheets were all unusable. They reeked of mildew. Our family had nowhere to sleep that night, so we had to...

“Haha! My review?! All good at check in. Once in the room, you can see that there is a space between the front door itself and the door frame. The wallpaper is peeling off the wall in the bathroom and the back window doesn’t lock. As I settle for the night, I realize that it’s getting cold and try to set up the heater only to realize the little heater under the bathroom counter is the only one working which is not enough for the room. “We loved our stay at this hotel. It is in a perfect location for winter and sunmer adventures, and not far from Lake Placid shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the comfortable room and sauna after a long day on the mountain, and the stocked kitchen made it easy and efficient to fuel up in the mornings. We will definitely return here again when we plan our next Adirondack adventure!”
