“Virtual staff was super helpful and pretty responsive to all my questions and concerns. A lot to do in the area and less than a 20 minute drive anywhere. Only thing is if you’re a light sleeper bring an eye masks, ear plugs and your own blanket. Love the natural lighting the rooms get but if you’re wanting to sleep in there aren’t any black out curtains and walls are very thin, you can hear everything and the blankets that are provided are pretty itchy and thin. “We enjoyed a quick getaway at the GG Barnum Mansion. The property was beautiful and quiet, and our room was quite comfortable. The neighborhood was lovely, and we enjoyed a muffin and coffee on our way out. We would have enjoyed using the sauna if we had had a bit more time. ”

“The location was great with a view of the harbor and the lift bridge from the room. It was a short walk across the lift bridge to Canal Park and good food, museums, and shopping. We went to the Great Lakes Aquarium, the William A Irvin ore ship museum and walked along Lake Superior. The buffet breakfast was great and everything was clean. This was a wonderful place to stay.”

“The mansion itself is beautiful and well maintained. I think they did about as well as possible, but it's not possible to update an early 1900s house to all the modern amenities. The internet was spotty and the layout awkward. One thing that really needed work was the bed. It advertises "premium bed" and it was definitely not premium. Whenever we got onto the bed or moved on one side, it sounded like the bed was going to break. This could easily be fixed, so hopefully they do that soon. We did...

Coffee, tea, muffins, fruit in am. Room had plenty of towels, toilet paper, nice ftidge, mictowave, coffee in guest room. I loved this place and will stay in the future.”
