This is not a modern hotel or one that has anywhere near enough facilities for the amount of guests. I will definitely not stay here again, nor would I recommend. Stay elsewhere.

Das Personal war teilweise sehr unmotiviert und unfreundlich. Die Schlangen an der Pool- und Lobbybar waren ebenfalls zu lang. Ansonsten wunderschöne Anlage mit vielen Liege Möglichkeiten und Pools. Buffet war immer gut ausgestattet und lecker. Das Essen in den Restaurants war in Ordnung aber keines Falls 5 Sterne wert! Das Personal sollte definitiv überarbeitet werden.

Our stay was lovely. Our room was very comfortable and big. Staff were courteous although the buffet staff seemed a bit frazzled. Long hours and days I assume. The pools were wonderful and catered for all ages. All in all a wonderful holiday.

Klassisches all in 0815 Hotel. Beim Frühstück konnte man sich kaum bewegen.. 3 von 4 kaffeeautomaten waren während der kompletten Zeit defekt. Abend an der Bar war 20 Minuten anstehen angesagt um ein Getränk zu bekommen. A La cart Restaurants und der Pita Stand am Strand waren sehr gut. Allen in Allem war es ganz okay aber für uns zu groß und zu viel los

An sich ist es eine schöne Anlage, allerdings gibt es zu wenig Personal für die Masse an Menschen. Gerade bei den öffentlichen Toiletten, dem Speisesaal und den Pool Bars ist es sehr aufgefallen. Aufgrund der Größe des Hotels ist die Geräuschkulisse natürlich sehr hoch. An der Animation könnte man noch arbeiten. Immer das selbe und der Kellner wurde zum Animateur oder auch andersherum. Bei den Restaurants die man nutzen kann, muss man vorab einen Termin machen, leider hat es sich da auch schwierig gestaltet einen Termin zu bekommen, da diese meisten 3-4 Tage im voraus ausgebucht waren. Somit blieb nur das überfüllte Buffet über. Ein 5 Sterne Hotel ist es für uns nicht gewesen, da der Service, die Sauberkeit und auch die "Animation" unserer Meinung nach nicht gut waren. Die Mitarbeiter wirkten eher genervt und überfordert, was bei so einem Andrang natürlich etwas nachvollziehbar ist, aber bei einem 5 Sterne Hotel nicht sein darf. Auch die schönen "Daybetten" die auf den Fotos so angepriesen werden, waren ab 06:30 Uhr immer belegt und nicht in dem Umfang vorhanden wie beschrieben. Ebenso sieht der Strand anders aus. Man hat trotz der frischer Renovierung noch etliche Baumängel sehen können. Preis-Leistung ist für uns nicht gerechtfertigt.

This is our 3rd stay at Helea and it is consistently great. Beautifully designed hotel, at a fantastic location, with a great staff and service. We enjoyed a wonderful welcome and a room upgrade. The hotel was at full capacity, but it was not felt at all (no long lines etc.). The facilities are well maintained and are suitable for all traveler types and the beach is perfect. Highly recommended.

Unser Aufenthalt war sehr entspannt. Das Hotel ist frisch renoviert und in einem sehr schönen Zustand. Es gibt einen großen und mehrere kleine Pool, sowie direkten Meerzugang. Liegestühle gibt es sowohl am Pool, als auch am Meer ausreichend inkl. Sonnenschirme. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Es gab ausreichend Tagesprogramm durch die Animateure. Alles in einem hatten wir einen tollen Aufenthalt und kommen gerne wieder.

Greek hotel
I have to give a mixed review as sone areas were good, others disappointing. The room was not cleaned until late afternoon and the mini bar was not stocked on 4 occasions. There is no iron available which for a 5 star hotel I could not believe. You have to use the ironing service at the hotel. The specialist restaurants you have to book and despite doing this on check in I only had the option to book 2 as the hotel was so full. The corridors to the rooms were not hoovered for days and there was a cigarette butt the cleaners walked past that was there 3 days. Reception staff were mixed with 2 girls lovely but 2 couldn’t crack a smile and were downright rude and unfriendly. My husband even commented on the looks one would give me whenever I was in reception, maybe as I had to complain but I was justified. There was no upgrade available and no late checkout although we did get a room to shower in which was appreciated. Now it wasn’t all bad, if the management could fix the above the place could be great. The restaurant staff work so hard especially at breakfast but three times we had to wait for a table to be laid as you find your own way so a few days we didn’t bother with breakfast. The staff are overworked here. In the Greek restaurant on a lunchtime however the staff and service were fab as they were in the other 2 speciality restaurants. The service in the Italian was outstanding. The drinks are good quality overall and good staff. Hotel is modern and a good design.

Inchecken: onvoldoende / dames aan de receptie koel en absoluut geen warm welkom! Bij het uitchecken geen gedag, niks. Enkel “check out, card please, bye” Koffer jongens wel aardig en hard werkend. Buffet restaurant dikke prima! A la cart restaurant (3 stuks) ook prima. Animatieteam doet erg zijn best om de gasten te vermaken. Prima verdeling over de dag. Ligbedjes is een ramp, een run op de bedjes ‘s morgens al heel vroeg. Te weinig bedjes voor aantal gasten. Vreselijk die strijd om een bedje.

Leider hatte ich ganz andere Erwartungen an diese Unterkunft. Das Konzept und der Umbau wäre eigentlich ganz schön, leider ist nicht alles ganz fertig gedacht. Und für mich war es nicht ganz ein entspannter Urlaub - Eine sehr grosse Anlage -Sehr laut, aber zu erwarten bei so vielen Leuten -Strand abschnitt sehr klein, das Meer jedoch war sehr schön und sauber -Die Liegen sind nicht so abgebildet wie auf dem Foto, also es gibt keine Better am Pool und auch keine weichen Auflagen auf den Liegestühlen - Es gab keinen Service du musstest überall Dir alles selber holen ausser Wasser, Sie sind sehr bemüht aber halt überfordert, wissen nicht was Priorität hat, tendenziell auch zu wenig Personal für so viele Gäste - Dazu kommt es das es für die ganzen Anlage nur 3 Service Bar hat, was für so ein Grosse All Inklusive Hotel einfach zu wenig ist, somit Bilden sich überall Schlang und du must für alles anstehen - Es gibt auch kein Service am Strand oder am Beach Wäre nicht sehr viel wert auf Bedienung liegt, ist es voll okay, da du alles an der Bar erhältst, aber eben du musst es selber holen -Leider fehlt ein Spielplatz für die Kinder Es hat einen beim den Rutschbahnen, dieser ist jedoch nicht überdeckt, somit viel zu heiss und ab Abend ist dieser geschlossen und hat auch kein Licht - Auch gewisse Mängel hat es auch im Hotel obwohl Frisch renoviert, aber ja bei so vielen Personen welche dann vielleicht nicht sorg geben, sieht das dann schnell alles alt aus.

I’m not really sure where to start. The property itself is beautiful. The location is absolutely perfect. Close to a ton. We had a total of 4 rooms. The woman who checked me in, not once did she make eye contact. She said nothing to me other than “here are your room cards”. Got to the room and it was so hot you couldn’t breathe. I called down to the front and was told “well it’s hot out” we had to insist they send somebody up, they fixed the AC. 2 days later, we needed toilet paper, called for 2 days. No one showed up. Found an employee in the hall who went and got me some. House keeping never came. You can tell they were working very hard but short staffed. If they start at 1 end of the hall, 1 day, they should start at the other the next day IMO. The food in the Italian restaurant was terrible. And so was the service. My daughter got reprimanded by the staff for pouring her own water. “It was his job” but yet he was never around. He spent a lot of time at the tables on either side of us. One was getting more alcohol than us, the other spoke the same language he did, and they were joking and laughing and he kept rubbing one of the kids heads!? One elevator was out the whole time, took the stairs mostly because of the rolling power outages. Ate at the Buffet a lot, good selection of food. My favorite employee, Dora. She was always busting her tail, working so hard, and always had a smile on her face. I have so much more I want to review but not enough space here. Spa was A

Wir waren im Mai 1 Woche im Helea Hotel mit unserer 5 Jährigen Tochter und haben es geliebt. Das Design und die Ausstattung des Hotels ist wunderschön und sehr modern. Wir hatten das Glück obwohl wir ein Zimmer mit Berg Blick gebucht hatten, ein Zimmer mit Meerblick bekommen zu haben. Das Essen im Main Restauraunt war sowohl zu Mittag als auch Abends sehr abwechslungsreich und sehr lecker und es war für jeden etwas dabei. Die Poollandschaften sind wunderschön und es gibt genügend Schattenplätze und Liegen für die Gäste. Unsere Tochter war riesen Fan vom Kids Club und den superlieben Animateur Team! Gerade dieses möchte ich besonders hervorheben! Danke Alex,Emmi,Elsa, Flo, Emma usw. Ihr wart toll und habt uns und vorallem unserer Tochter immer die beste Laune beschert! Exceptional 10/10 resort! Great location near old town, beaches, and night life. Amazing amenities on the resort with multiple pools, gym area, spa, shops, areas for children, etc. staff were welcoming and friendly and there were many different food options availble. Had a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend this resort as it is newly renovated and stunning for Instagram photos

Not close to 5 star!!
Had an okay stay at this resort! Personal try their best, especially at the restaurant they work hard and are friendly. But no way near a 5 star. Food average, facilities between poor up to good/okay. It’s a bit of a fake construction where it’s all new but the feeling is that the hotel is like 10-12 years old. Then when you have all inclusive you expect to have availability at all times. The lunch for example is only open for 2 hours and then it’s 4 hours until dinner. And then the bars…you’d have to stay in line forever every time you want something. Elevators are an absolute danger!! For us we felt that we’d just go with it and enjoy our sets but wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

Voldoet niet aan de verwachtingen
Het hotel ziet er prachtig uit, maar daar is alles mee gezegd. Echt veel te weinig personeel. Er wordt door gasten gevochten om bedjes langs de zwembaden. Als je niet vroeg genoeg op staat om een bedje te reserveren dan heb je niks. Je bent uren kwijt aan in de rij staan voor drankjes. De drankjes komen in kartonnen bekertjes. Je moet goed tegen prikkels kunnen als je hier verblijft, want overal is het te druk. Wij kozen er vaak voor om betaald te lunchen, maar zelfs daar liet de kwaliteit van het eten te wensen over. Positieve punten: de kamer was fijn (Helea Suite), het Griekse en Latijns-Amerikaanse a la carte restaurants waren goed. Mini-disco was leuk! Voor service moet je hier niet zijn al zou je dat wel mogen verwachten voor deze prijs

Not a five star hotel
In general the hotel is very pretty with several pool areas and even a small water park for the little ones. Also rooms and the common areas are very aesthetically pleasing… perhaps those are the reasons the hotel still has five star status, which was totally misleading. The service is very poor and comes most of the time with an attitude. Every interaction seemed difficult and first answer was always no. Ala carte restaurants were waste of time, serving low quality dishes and couldn’t example order cocktail (not even for an extra pay) or glass of milk for my toddler. Waitresses were disorganized mess, asking repeatedly same question after each other. Lunch and dinner buffets were repeating a lot. The cleanliness of the rooms meant mainly straightening the bedsheets leaving rest of the room dirty. Also the hotel clearly had too many guests to keep things comfortable, example there was never enough sunbeds. It was forbidden to reserve a sunbed, but it was clear that majority of people did throw their towels on top of the sunbeds at morings to reserve them and the hotel did nothing to stop that. The hotel staff told us just to go and remove peoples belongings from unused sunbeds and bring the stuff to the reception, maybe this would be the staff’s job to do instead of putting their guests uncomfortable. Overall I have never had this poor level of service in five star hotel and can not definitely recommend this to anyone seeking a true five star holiday.

From Day one to check out, the service was excellent and the experience was incredible. Fantastic hotel with gorgeous views and wonderful in design. The food from the buffet and A La Carte restaurants was sublime. Will definitely look to come back again!

We would highly recommend this hotel to those looking to visit Rhodes and will hopefully be returning in the future. The food, facilities, staff and services were excellent and well thought out. We all really enjoyed our stay and remarked throughout the week that we had picked a really good resort for our break.
