“I loved everything. The ease of parking right outside of your room. The grounds were so pretty at night, kit up and a real fire pit. It was peaceful. Shelly and her staff were always available with any questions. I ate dinner the 1st night there and it was delicious and welcoming. I even extended my stay a night. “My girlfriend and I LOVED this place. It's not the Marriot or some chain, so it's a bit unique and has quirks, and that's why it's awesome. The room was small but comfortable, the bed very comfy. There was no TV in the room, which I really liked. Great shower. Outside there was a little deck with chairs so we could relax, listen to the Ausable River and look at the lovely grounds. There was also a restaurant area (closed while we were there) that we could sit in for meals or just to hang out....

“I liked that this property is not right in the middle of the main street, but close enough. Loved the pool and the quiet. The staff is very friendly. Thanking Rodney for his help with housekeeping. The mattress in our deluxe king was sunken in the middle and the pillows were too big and fat for me. A little updating would do wonders, but overall, I would definitely recommend this property.”

“This was a fun place to stay. Kind of quirky, certainly unique. Clean and spacious and with a Scandinavian vibe. Could have used an extra hook or two for towels and the sink was a challenge as water tended to splash over onto the floor. Free use of bikes and an outdoor sauna added to the special atmosphere. They also offer a couple of glamping options. Cool. We tried the breakfast basket option one morning. Sharp idea. We would stay here again, without question. ”

"We had such a wonderful time at the Lookout cabin. It was our first time in the area, and my wife and I fell in love with the cabin as soon as we saw it :) The cabin is provided with absolutely everything you need: - a fully equipped kitchen - media entertainment (WiFi, TV, etc.) - a cozy little bathroom with nice hot shower (note: might be tight if you're on the "bigger" size) - a lovely bedroom and for warmer months even a covered back-porch with fire-pit and chairs to hang out in the evening around a crackling fire. I've only left a 4/5 on the position, because even though the location is great to easily reach many points of interest in the area (this is what we cared most), on the flip side it is quite close to the main road, and if you're a light-sleeper as I am, the sounds/lights of trucks in the morning might get to you while you still sleep; not a deal-breaker, but also worth mentioning. Julie, the host, was always kind and ready to support, and we really appreciated going out of their way and taking care of the extra heater for the colder days, it really helped us <3 All in all, even if I'll repeat myself, we had a really great time, and we'll definitely consider coming back to it once visiting the area again :) Cheers Giuliano"
