Piccola casa con delizioso giardino
La mia amica si è trovata benissimo, la casa è piccola ma molto ben organizzata e c’è davvero tutto. E soprattutto il piccolo cortile giardino è davvero delizioso e godibile. .

Tutto perfetto
Matilde è gentilissima e disponibile. La casa è piccolina ma curata in ogni dettaglio. Funzionale e completa di tutto. La posizione è eccezionale! Il giardino un incanto, ideale per delle cene all'aperto! Consigliatissimo!!!

Tutto perfetto! La casa è calda e accogliente, dotata di tutti i confort, vicinissima ai mezzi pubblici (metro/bus). Matilde, la Proprietaria, é venuta incontro alle nostre esigenze e ci ha fatte sentire a casa. Di fronte all’appartamento c’e Un supermarket dove si trova di tutto. Consiglio sicuramente questo alloggio!

Oasis In The Big City
Matilde met us at the apartment and showed around. She had a bunch of goodies in the fridge for us including a bottle of wine. The place was clean, the bed comfortable and bath room and shower worked well. The star of the place is the attached deck/patio and garden, a haven from the hectic city of Rome. Great location just minutes from the Vatican.

kleine Oase in der Nähe des Vatikan
Erdgeschoß-Appartement mit privatem Innenhof-Paradies in einem 6 stöckigen Haus, keine 10 Gehminuten vom Petersplatz. Ferienwohnung mit voller Ausstattung, es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Sogar der Kühlschrank war mit einer Erstausrüstung bestückt. Matilde ist sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich und schnell per Whatsapp erreichbar. Wir würden jederzeit gerne wiederkommen, unser Highlight ist der Garten!

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt
Matilde ist eine überaus freundliche Gastgeberin. Der Check-in war sogar schon früher möglich als angegeben. Matilde war selbst vor Ort und hat uns alles erklärt (z. B. wo ein Supermarkt ist, usw.). Der Kühlschrank war bei unserer Anreise mit Getränken befüllt, so dass wir uns nicht direkt darum bemühen mussten. Die Ferienwohnung war tadellos sauber uns wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Terrasse ist liebevoll hergerichtet und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Wir können diese Unterkunft nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen und würden jederzeit wieder dort übernachten wenn wir in Rom sind.

A perfect spot!
We absolutely loved our stay! It’s a perfect location and it’s exactly how it looks in the pictures, it’s a super cozy oasis and the garden area is amazing! Matilde is so great, the communication was very good and I so appreciated the wonderful bottle of wine and restaurant recommendations! Highly recommend! !

Wonderful Oasis
First of all, Matilde is a wonderful Host and has a lovely apartment close to everything Rome has to offer or at least a short walking distance to. The Market right across the street is excellent if you decide to cook in a night or just want fresh fruit for morning breakfast! But, my absolute favorite thing is the beautiful, Garden Oasis right outside your back door! Great spot for Wine and Charcuterie before going out for dinner. My husband and I wouldn't hesitate to stay in here again in the future!

Absolutely lovely stay
This was the perfect place for my visit to Rome. The apartment is thoughtfully arranged and lovingly decorated. The terrace garden is a wonderful oasis that I spent a great deal of time in. The location was ideal for me - close to the metro and bus, with a very good supermarket across the street, and the Forno Feliziani down the street (great pizza and cornettos). The building is secure and the neighborhood is quite safe. Matilde is a lovely and gracious host and was so helpful to me. I can absolutely recommend this apartment as a great place to stay while in Rome.

The host and the property exceeded all expectations! Not only has the host set up the apartment so that a guest has everything you can think of in terms of information & practical use, she has also created a magical oasis in which to retreat after a day in Rome. The secluded garden is quite special and became my haven during a recent trip to Rome, which was totally overrun with tourists. I enjoyed shopping at the undiscovered food market around the corner, and cook for myself. The grocery store around the other corner was also useful. The neighborhood, being near the Vatican has tourists but is predominately a true Roman neighborhood, vibrant with nice shops, restaurants and bars, and real Romans trying to go about their lives. The apartment is accessible to public transportation and the host has made sure you have info about how to use it. Check in was very easy and the host made me feel welcome and right at home in the beautiful apartment. The A/c and the Wi-fi worked perfectly, as did the TV — great fun watching Italian Bake Off among others. Rome is my favorite city and Peacock Garden is sure to be my home away from home on future trips!

Great stay; great location!!
We had been viewing Peacock Gardens for about two years. When we finally decided to travel to Italy we were very happy it was still available. It exceeded our expectations and was in a great location for us. The host Matilde was also very accommodating. After check in she went out to buy us a bottle of wine and coffee for the week. We stayed here for 8 nights and it was very convenient as we had 3 events planees for the Vatican. The Vatican Museum entrance is 3 minute walk just around the corner. The entrance to St. Peter’s and Pope audience about a 15 minute walk. Great restaurants close by along with a supermarket across the street, and bakeries very close to pick up croissants for breakfast which we enjoyed with the espresso in the wonderful oasis of a patio. A metro is close by, but due to walking limitations we took many taxis which were easy to call from this location. If we ever would return, Peacock Gardens would be our first choice to check out.

Amazing time in Rome
We stayed 4 nights at this amazing little hideaway. Everything was amazing, the bed, shower and especially the garden. Walkability to the hot spots of Rome was great. The Vatican is basically right there. Perfect for a family of 3 or a couple. Fantastic!!!

An excellent place to stay. The property is cozy and everything is provided by the host who is very hospitable and easy to reach by text messages if you have any queries. The place is very neat and clean when we arrive and had a very comfortable and safe to stay. It is also close to the Vatican Museum and St. Peter’s Square. Would certainly book on this place when we plan to go to Rome again and recommend to our relatives and friends!

Matilde was a very gracious host.
This was a fun apartment with the garden. It was located just around the corner from where the tour of the Vatican met, so only had to leave about 5 minutes before the time. It was convenient to Metro A which we took to go to the coliseum (changing to B). We walked from the coliseum, through the Forum to Trevi fountain and then back to the apartment.

A lovely place
This is our third time staying at the Peacock Garden. Matilde is a gracious and thoughtful host. The apartment is well appointed, comfortable and peaceful amid a busy city. The location is perfect, as you are close to Vatican City as well as all the sites of Rome. There are many great restaurants a short walk away. I highly recommend this property and look forward to returning soon.

Kleine FEWO. Alles da.Sogar ein kleines Gärtchen… Sehr nette hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Die Lage ist ideal. Bus hält vor der Tür, Metro A in wenigen Minuten erreicht. Markthalle mit unzähligen Ständen ebenfalls fast vor der Tür. Wunderbar!

Ideal location and beautiful private garden!
My stay at this charming apartment was idyllic especially as a solo female traveler! Located just 2 blocks from the Vatican Museums, everything you could possibly need is within 2-3 blocks! Even though it is still “winter” in Italy, I made great use of the private garden, I would walk and get a gelato just 1 block away and sip my Chianti while enjoying my gelato outside. Matilde was an absolutely amazing host, due to the train strike in France I arrived MUCH later than anticipated and she didn’t fuss at all about meeting me at 01:15! There was a very minor issue with the heating my first night (the previous renter did not advise the thermostat was broken so there was no way for Matilde to know this) within a couple of hours she had a very pleasant woman there to fix it (which again as a single female in an unfamiliar destination, I took comfort in.) The building itself is incredibly secure, in fact my 2nd night I accidentally left the keys in the apartment door and fortunately they remained untouched until the next morning (sorry Matilde!) My only “tip” is that if you prefer a softer mattress, you may find the bed too firm but I was so exhausted from all the walking I did every day to let it keep me from a great nights sleep every night! You may find a bit of a “sewer” smell in the bathroom 1-2 times a day but that has nothing to do with the apartment, it’s merely Rome :) Oh, lastly, I greatly appreciated the bottle of complementary Chianti awaiting me as a welcome gift, especially after close to 20 hours of travel! I hope to stay here again next year as I fell in love with Rome and plan to come back as often as I can!

The host is very helpful on every aspect. She firstly walked us thru the house and point to note. She is so good and help arrange us last check out (with some costs of cos) and help us book taxi to airport. Really appreciate. Just beware that this listing is actually under another platform, Vrbo, which I have to go on the platform myself and figure out way to connect to the host. I received no email of how to follow up after booking, was a bit disappointed about this cross-platform thing. Other than that, this is a nice place to recommend to couple or friend travellers. Enjoy.

Enjoyable Roman Retreat
A quaint and comfortable suite. It had the amenities you needed. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom while a little tight was totally functional. We stayed for a week and the suite was always a welcome respite after long days out. Our host was very good. She was easy to connect with and helpful. The location turned out to be excellent. The bus (492) that is right outside will take you close to almost all the major sites and the metro is just a 4 minute walk ( get your metro card here that you can use all week on all transit). Nice restaurants and gelato are all around. Perhaps the best local feature though is the awesome indoor food market. It’s close, huge and sells everything, (fruits, vegetables, meats,cheeses, pasta, bread, seafood, wine) , all fresh and local. Needless to say we had some memorable home cooked Italian meals in our quaint Roman suite.

Peacock Apartment—5 Star!
The Peacock apartment was the perfect location for our stay in Rome. A short walk to Vatican City and close to bus and metro stops. Conveniently located on a street with supermarkets, eateries, pharmacy, and other shops. The garden patio was an added bonus! Highly recommend this rental for future travel.

Matilde was amazing. She was so nice and helpful. She even checked in on us during our stay at her property. Location is great. Tons of dining options, walkable to everything and not too touristy. The snacks that she provide exceeded expectations and her apartment has good air conditioning, which was very important in July. We would definitely stay here again and I would highly recommend staying here.

L’appartement est parfaitement conforme aux photos, la cuisine est très bien équipée, il y a tout ce qu’il faut, le jardin est encore plus formidable et agréable que sur les photos . Tous les détails y sont du frigidaire rempli à l’arrivée, sel,poivre, café ,thé , herbe etc aux produits d’hygiène ou trousse de pansement. Et Mathilde est très accueillante. Perfect place!
We LOVED staying with Matilde. Her flat is so cute and comfortable, the patio is beautiful, and Matilde is so kind, communicative, and lovely. The location is excellent, right by Vatican City. It is quiet, yet close to so many restaurants and bars. She left food and wine for us, was able to help us get a taxi when the local trains had shut down to catch our transport to Milan, and was always available to answer any questions or needs. She really is a dream. We would LOVE to return to her flat next time we are in Rome. I cannot recommend this flat enough.

Toller Aufenthalt in toller Ferienwohnung
Wir haben uns in der Ferienwohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Matilde ist eine perfekte Gastgeberin und ich kann mich den Bewertungen meiner Vorgänger nur anschließen. Die Wohnung ist sauber, die Terrasse ideal, um sich vom Trubel der Stadt zu erholen. Die Lage war für uns perfekt. Man erreicht den Petersplatz in ca. 10 Gehminuten, bis zur Innenstadt läuft man ca. 30 Minuten. Wir fanden das sehr angenehm, da auf dem Weg viele nette Cafés und Restaurants liegen, in die man zwischendurch einkehren kann. Zurück haben wir uns ab und zu ein Taxi gegönnt, das mit ca. 8 Euro erschwinglich ist. Liebe Matilde, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen bei unserem nächsten Rom-Aufenthalt gerne wieder. Matilde was such a great host!
I traveled with my elderly parents to beautiful Rome and needed an appartment that was conveniently positioned in the city with easy access. Matildes appartment fullfilled all of the requirements and more. And Matilde was a very welcoming host, who helped us whenever needed along the way. We would love to come back! Highly satisfied
We loved our 3-night stay; great location with everything (food, drinks, small supermarket, Vatican and other sightseeing sites) within walking distance. Matilde was attentive to detail, and loved the apartment. We rented a taxi to get to and back from FCO. Easy and worth the $50 charge

Real gem steps from Vatican
The most precious and comfortable apartment - the pictures do not do it justice - the outdoor space is both quiet and private and is like having another apartment. You cannot hear the traffic and the building is secure. Off of Candia you will find quaint coffee shops, terrific restaurants and a quiet neighbour. Within steps of the Metro. Matilde is the consummate host and if We could give her a Micheline rating, it would be 4 stars! Thank you for a terrific stay and we can’t wait to return.

Perfect location
Matilda was wonderful with helping us with any questions we had. My husband and I stayed here while on our Honeymoon, and very much enjoyed the stay. It is super close to the Vatican, Metro, and restaurants and gelato are within steps! The apartment had everything we needed. Would stay here again :)

Amazing place in great location!
My wife and I stayed here three nights and would 100% return in the future and recommend to others. Maltide is an ideal hostess and we took her up on the offer to arrange transportation from the airport. The airline lost one of our bags so we were delayed at the airport filing a lost luggage claim and she helped us stay in touch with the driver and then bought us some of the items that we're missing from that bag. The location is ideal as it has plenty of restaurants nearby and a supermarket across the street while also having easy access to public transportation to get anywhere you need other than the Vatican Museums (since that's only a two minute walk away). The apartment was our warm and dry oasis after exploring Rome on a few cold and rainy days. The bed was very comfortable and the apartment contains all of the comforts of home. It was an absolutely ideal stay. Thank you!!

Apartment stay in Rome.
I can't say enough about our host Matilde and the apartment itself.My wife and I were greeted at the apartment and were exteremly pleased with the property.Clean,efficient and comfortable.The outdoor garden/seating area is a real gem in the heart of Rome.Excellent location and assesable to all area's.Mathilde explained in detail everything we needed to know about the apartment and how to get around Rome.Everything you need to know is also well documented in a folder in the apartment.Like I said,I can't say enough how enjoyable our stay was and will return again next year.

Perfekt für 2 Personen, gute Ausstattung und Lage, TOP-Gastgeber
Meine Frau und ich verbrachten 6 Tage in diesem schönen sowie gut und wertig ausgestatteten Apartment. Die Lage ist perfekt um die Stadt zu erkunden. Wir waren nur zu Fuß unterwegs, das Auto stand sicher in der Tiefgarage um die Ecke. Die liebevoll gestaltete Terrasse ist eine Oase der Ruhe. Die Zimmer liegen zum Innenhof, dadurch gibt es auch keinen Strassenlärm. Gegenüber ist ein kleiner Supermarkt, im Umkreis von 200m eine große Markthalle und mehrere Restaurants. Matilde ist eine überaus liebenswerte und aufmerksame Gastgeberin, der wir auf diesem Weg nochmals unsere herzlichen Grüße senden. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Eine wunderbare Unterkunft
Wir wurden sehr herzlich von Matilde empfangen. Über den vollen Kühlschrank haben wir uns sehr gefreut. Die Ferienwohnung hat alles was man braucht. Besonders schön ist die Terrasse, die wir zu jedem Essen genutzt haben. Die Lage gleich hinter dem Vatikanmuseum war sehr praktisch. Auch ringsum ist eine sehr gute Versorgung mit kleinem Supermarkt, tollem Bäcker und vielen Restaurants und Geschäfte. Wir kommen gern wieder. Vielen Dank matilde.

A private garden in the center of Rome

Mathilde ist eine tolle Vermieterin und auch für das erste Frühstück gesorgt.Im Kühlschrank war alles,was man zum entspannten Ankommen braucht. Die Wohnung ist toll und in dem kleinen Hof lässt es sich prima ausruhen. Die Lage der Wohnung ist optimal. Jederzeit gern wieder
