“We last stayed here a couple of years ago and enjoyed it but it seems to have gone downhill. The hotel location is great, the room was clean and tidy, beds comfortable, but the bathroom was full of mould and in definite need of a refurb. We had the buffet breakfast in the restaurant which was cold and not worth the price. The staff seemed like they didn’t want to be there and didn’t seem to care the bathroom was mouldy. We cancelled a booking for our return trip and stayed at a much nicer place...

“We loved this place! Staff was wonderful, rooms were clean and homey. The location was right next to the lake and couldn’t have been more lovely. It was so private it felt like we were a million miles from anyone else. The only complaint was that the bed was too firm for us. ”

“Nice location a few km out of Rotorua. The park-like grounds are a bit odd with the Alice in Wonderland themed art, but peaceful and with nice views of the lake in the distance. The rooms are well appointed but have zero soundproofing: you will hear your neighbors snore and chat, and doors are so flimsy you hear everything going on in the common areas. Bring your best earplugs. Breakfast is decent, service can be slow. Tiny outdoor pool and two nice hot tubs. Maintenance is hit and miss: rooms...

“Helpful and friendly staff, beautiful setting with a creek right behind the unit. Kitchen was simple and offered appliances we weren't expecting. Laundry facilities on site was a nice bonus. Only down side was the bed, which was quite firm. One of us loved it, the other not. I used the WiFi for a zoom meeting and it was good enough for the task, thankfully. ”
