Ottima vacanza
Casa con grande charme, per una piacevole vacanza in Salento. Dotata molti comfort, forse manca solo di qualche attrezzatura (microonde, coltelli), ma ce ne si dimentica in fretta grazie ai belli e freschi ambienti interni ed esterni, per rinfrescarsi anche durante le calde giornate estive. Anche i bambini la adoreranno. In posizione baricentrica rispetto alle due coste.

villa stupenda, ospitalità e accoglienza eccellente
Un contesto esclusivo e piacevole, relax totale. Una villa molto elegante e curata nei dettagli, ospitalità e accoglienza eccellente. Molto consigliata per la posizione strategica a cavallo tra ionio e adriatico, quindi vicina alle piu belle spiagge della Puglia, ma è la villa e il suo giardino che fa la differenza un posto veramente incantevole tra alberi da frutto, piscina piacevolissima e stanze molto accoglienti.

La casa é molto spaziosa, particolare e curata. É l'ideale per due famiglie, sopratutto perviá delle grandi camere da letto con i rispettivi bagni. Anche il giardino e curatissimo e la piscina e perfetta.

Favoloso !!
Casa bella ed accogliente con una splendida piscina per le serate più calde !! Ottima la posizione che permette in poco tempo di raggiungere entrambe le coste. Camere grandi e confortevoli tutte con bagno privato ed aria condizionata. L'unico "difetto" è la cucina che essendo molto piccola , nonostante la splendida sala da pranzo, può risultare insufficiente per due famiglie Un grazie particolare a Roberto per la sua disponibilità ed i suoi suggerimenti per visitare il meraviglioso Salento.

Ottima sistemazione per famiglie!
Il soggiorno presso Villa Giulia si è rivelato all'altezza delle nostre aspettative. La villa è molto bella, storica e ristrutturata con attenzione al dettaglio, molto curata, accogliente, con camere grandi climatizzate e bagno privato, soggiorno /cucina ampio. Piscina e giardino grande a disposizione degli ospiti e molto amato dai nostri bambini (noi eravamo 3 famiglie per un totale di 6 adulti e 7 bimbi), barbecue e tavolo esterno sotto il pergolato. Situata nel centro del paese di Ruffano, comoda ai negozi e distante una mezz'oretta dalle spiagge dello Ionio. Buona l'assistenza del personale di servizio alla villa, molto cortese e disponibile. Segnalerei solamente come spunto di miglioramento il potenziamento dell'attrezzatura presente in cucina (posateria, bicchieri, pentolame vario) non adeguato al numero di ospiti che la villa è in grado di accogliere cosi come i frigoriferi: quello nella cucina principale è piccolo, il secondo più grande ma comunque insufficiente per 13 persone è nella cucina secondaria, a mio avviso scomoda per l'utilizzo. Consiglio caldamente Villa Giulia a famiglie o gruppi di amici che cercano una sistemazione di qualità, con tutti i confort!

Vacanze da sogno - Vacances de rêve
Abbiamo trascorso due settimane a Villa Giulia con le nostre bimbe di 4 e 8 anni. Sono state delle vacanze da sogno. Abbiamo apprezzato abitare nella villa, con le sue ampie e alte stanze, ben arredate e pulite. Abbiamo adorato usufruire del giardino e della magnifica piscina. Abbiamo potuto mangiare fuori sotto il pergolato alla mattina e alla sera. La Villa é ben situata, a 5 min. dal supermercato. Poco lontano ci sono dei ristoranti e una buona pizzeria (KoKo Pizzeria). In 30 min. di auto si raggiungono le bellissime spiagge di sabbia. I collaboratori del Sig, Giulio sono stati molto disponibili e hanno saputo rispondere a tutte le nostre richieste. Un punto che potrebbe essere migliorato é l'equipaggiamento della cucina (utensili, padelle) e gli spazi per riporre degli oggetti (scaffali, mobili). Consigliamo senza dubbio un soggiorno a Villa Giulia a chi vuole passare delle vacanze riposanti. E infatti impagabile ritrovare la tranquillità della Villa dopo una giornata sulle spiaggie calde e animate. Nous avons passé 2 semaines à la Villa Giulia avec nos deux filles de 4 et 8 ans. Et ça a été des vacances de rêves. Nous avons apprécié habiter la villa, avec ses grandes et hautes chambres, bien équipées et propres. Nous avons adoré profiter du parc et de la magnifique piscine. Nous avons pu manger sous la pergola matin et soir. La Villa est bien située, à 5 minutes des supermarchés. Un peu plus loin, il y a des restaurants et une très bonne pizzeria (KoKo Pizzeria). En 30 minutes de voitures, on peut atteindre les magnifiques plages de sable. Les collaborateurs de M. Giulio ont été très disponibles et ont pu répondre rapidement à toutes nos questions. Les points qui pourraient être amélioré sont l'équipement de la cuisine (ustensiles, casseroles) et les espaces pour ranger les affaires (étagères, petits meubles). Nous conseillons sans hésitation des vacances à la Villa Giulia à ceux qui veulent passer des vacances reposantes. C'est en effet très agréable de retrouver la tranquillité de la Villa après une journée sur les plages chaudes et animées.

Amazing house!
The house is even better in real life than on the pictures. The renovation has been amazing, all the bedrooms have their en-suite bathrooms, the kitchen is huge and fully equiped. We had an amazing stay! All the beaches are within 20-45 minutes. There are a handful of nice restaurants in Ruffano itself. The supermarket is 5 min away. Everything you need to spend great holidays

Absolute gem!
I recently stayed at Villa Giulia as a group of 6 friends on a girls’ trip, and I cannot overstate how perfect it was for us. We didn’t have a car but Giulio kindly helped us book a taxi from the airport and once we were there we barely wanted to leave. The house is super spacious and tastefully decorated, and the pool area is perfect for hanging out all afternoon in the beautiful sunshine. We had complete privacy thanks to the huge garden surrounding the house, but Anna Lisa was always a phone call away to help with anything we needed. The town of Ruffano is not touristy at all so we felt we had a very authentic Italian experience, including stumbling upon a town party where there was live music in the piazzas. The supermarket 5 minutes away had fantastic produce for making meals at home, as well as a lovely deli L’Arte dei Sapore just down the road. We found some great ceramics to bring back as souvenirs from Fernando Falcone, and enjoyed eating out at Farmacia dei Sani and Pescheria La Grotto Del Mare where the fishmonger whips up a delicious seafood feast for €20 a head. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay for a chilled out holiday off the beaten track, it doesn’t get better than this. Thank you Giulio and Anna Lisa!

Wonderful experience
This villa was even more beautiful in person, we can't wait to come back again. As a group of friends and family, we found this rental to be spacious, the host more than accommodating, and the town of Ruffano was a highlight of our explorations around the Salento. Proximity to all coastal beaches, small towns, historic architecture and archaeological sites, don't get me started on the food- if you see pastries at any gas station near town do not hesitate to try! We were able to make a few tasty dishes in the villa's kitchen, using ingredients from local markets, and would consider coming later in the fruit season just to enjoy more of the garden's treasures. I lost my glasses swimming in caves and the host was able to connect me to an incredible optometrist, there is nothing we went without al week. We feel lucky to be welcome to stay at such a unique and inspiring location, thank you for such a special getaway!

Vorab ist zu sagen, dass man ein Auto haben sollte wenn man nach Ruffano möchte, da durch die zentrale Lage man nach Osten, Süden und Westen jeweils nur ca. 30 Minuten benötigt und somit viele schöne Orte besuchen kann. Die Villa ist ein Traum! Die hohen Räume, die Möblierung und Ausstattung sind perfekt. Wer den "Altstadt-Stil" mag wird das Gebäude lieben. Der Garten ist auch sehr schön. Die Pflanzen und Bäume sind super vielfältig und es ist alles doch in sich stimmig. Vielleicht könnte der Garten nur etwas mehr gepflegter sein. Der Pool hatte immer eine angenehme Kühle und ist durch den Reiniger immer in gutem Zustand. Wir wurden von Lucia und Giovanni empfangen und betreut. Beide sind uns sehr ans Herz gewachsen und wir haben uns immer gut betreut gefühlt. Sie haben uns geholfen mit einem Mietauto, Restaurant empfohlen und auch sonst immer sehr hilfsbereit gewesen. Ruffano kann man, wenn einem Altstadt gefällt, eigentlich nur lieben. Die kleinen Gassen die schönen Restaurants und Bistros und die wirklich IMMER sehr freundlichen Menschen dort haben unseren Urlaub noch schöner gemacht. Wir werden gerne wieder kommen und können die Villa und Lage jedem empfehlen!

Wundervolle Herbstferien in Ruffano
Wir verlebten eine wunderbare Zeit in dieser beeindruckenden alten Villa, inmitten des großzügigen idyllischen Gartens. Die Lage ist sehr zentral, Supermärkte, kleine Geschäfte und die Altstadt sind fußläufig in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Hatten wir eine Frage oder ein Anliegen, war Roberto (unser Kontakt vor Ort) über WhatsApp schnell erreichbar. Wir waren bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal hier.

Relaxing break in a beautiful and elegant environment
Villa Giulia is one of the most beautiful places we have rented in over 15 years of holiday rentals. Both the inside and outside area are very spacious. Somehow the owners managed to create a close to perfect marriage between elegance and simplicity and as a result the place is both very beautiful but also utterly relaxing. The villa itself provides a unique sense of space as all rooms and communal areas have generous surfaces and ceilings that must be around five meters high. Furnishing is of quality and good taste and of the type of materials and design that don't create anxiousness to break things. The garden is immense, well kept and with a good sized swimmingpool. each day we discovered new details, my preferred one being the jasmine plant that covers the eating area and provides wonderful fragrances during meals. Ruffano itself is not a very beautiful village but the fact that supermarkets, restauarants and the local gelateria were in walking distance was very comfortable. More importantly, Ruffano's location makes it the perfect base to discover Puglia and provides visitors with the luxury to chose whether to bathe in the Ionian or in the Adriatic Sea. In short, we loved our one week stay in Villa Giulia and will chose the villa again as our base if we go back to the region.

Tolles Anwesen in Provinzstädtchen
Wir haben mit einer befreundeten Famile in der Villa Giulia 1 Woche verbracht. Das Gebäude ist sehr eindrucksvoll und grosszügig gestaltet, was uns ausserordentlich gefallen hat. Der Garten ist schön angelegt und beleuchtet. Leider hatte es draussen wahnsinnig viele Moskitos, die uns dauernd belästigt haben. Hi und da gab es Kleinigkeiten, die nicht funktionniert haben, aber Roberto hat sich grosse Mühe gegeben immer alles schnellst möglich zu reparieren. Er war stets sehr hilfsbereit und gab auch gute Tips für Restaurants usw. Grundsätzlich ist der Mietpreis für das Anwesen eher hoch, wenn man bedenkt, wie günstig sich das Leben in diesem Provinzstädtchen gestaltet.

A lovely house in a village with some interesting restaurants and close to beaches
We enjoyed our time in this beautiful Villa. The conversion was done very well and retained elements of the wine making history (under the kitchen floor!). The pool was perfect for our four kids. In the morning could walk to a café and shops very easily and at night there were good pizzerias and of course Farmacia dei Sani for an upmarket night out. The 15 minute drive to sit outside and have a fantastic pizza Pizzeria Borgo Vecchio in Miggiano is well worth the trip. One of us is coeliac and gluten free was not a problem in most places. The Ionian beaches are long perfect sandy beaches that are great for whiling away a lazy day. The Adriatic side has large rock pools which are great for swimming, but few comfortable sitting options. Otranto and Lueca are well worth going to for dinner and an evening wander. Compared to Tuscany and the northern lakes, this part of Puglia has a low key vibe and is lovely for a family holiday. It helps if you have a few words of Italian.

We are a group of 4 couples who stayed in Villa Giulio for a week in June 2017. The villa suited us well with 4 bedrooms, all with ensuites. The villa is in the town so it is easy to walk to restaurants and cafes. We did not use the kitchen much, but it is functional. Despite being in the town the villa is private and has substantial grounds offering a mix of shade, the temperatures were circa 30 degrees. The pool was a welcome facility in the heat. We used the facility of the chef offered by Giulio and had a first class meal. there was so much food that it lasted us for several meals!!! All of our meals were eaten outside. We would highly recommend the villa. Stephen

Lovely property, extremely helpful manager. Only let down by the lack of kitchen!
We had a wonderful two weeks at the property. Roberto (the manager) was extremely kind and helpful. The property is well proportioned and the rooms are kept to a high standard. The only disappointment is the kitchen. It simply isn't adequate for a large group of people and detracts from the over all experience of the property. The size of the kitchen in the main room in the kitchen can be seen from the photographs - it is suitable for two people, but not 8! It is also not practical to share the cooking across the kitchen in the main room and the kitchen off one of the bedrooms. It really is a shame as the rest of the property is lovely and we enjoyed our stay.

Belle maison en parfait état.
La Villa Giulia est une belle maison d'une proprété impeccable. Nous y avons passé une super semaine de vacances avec 5 enfants et adolescents et tout le monde était ravie des chambres spacieuses, du magnifique jardin et de la piscine bien entretenue. Seule moins est l'aménagement de la cuisine peut adaptée et trop sporadique pour 9 personnes.

We never wanted to leave!
This property is absolutely amazing. The beautifully restored villa, with its lucious garden, cosy patios, grill and pool made us feel right at home (after the initial shock of how big it was). We had to force ourselves to get out and explore the surroundings as we didn't really want to leave our oases. I think that says it all!
