“The whole place could use a very very deep clean. The lock to my door didn't work, so I couldn't leave anything in the room to get food places. Even after bringing it up, they didn't want to accommodate me with a room with a working lock. And by working lock, I mean you can physically enter the room without a key card. Since they're pet friendly get ready to see all the leftover pet stains, under UV the place looks like a Jackson Pollock painting. High touch surfaces not cleaned.”

“We had a really disappointing experience with Powhatan Motel. After driving 16 hours on a long road trip, we arrived around 3am expecting to check in, since the motel clearly advertises a 24-hour front desk and check-in availability after 4pm. “I had to yell for someone to come to the desk. The room was not clean and the sheets had stains. No bugs. The extra lock on the door as loose. ”

“Staff was wonderful but the lack of cleanliness really took away from our stay. I bought cleaning supplies and cleaned the room, scrubbed the surfaces that were covered in a film and dust. I bought extra sheets and covered all the linens, they smelled and were horribly stained. If they get the housekeeping under control - this would be a great place. ”
