“I need a review for Hotel Football. It's easy to find, minutes from the tram stop. Check in was quick and easy. The room was super clean with a modern feel. Vimto in the fridge was the best surprise ever. Really enjoyed our stay. I did leave some items in the wardrobe which I realised on the train home. “Oddly unwelcoming guest, mocked me for using Expedia upon entry to the property. Laughed about me essentially getting scammed for using Expedia and instructed me that I wouldn't be having breakfast instead of offering it to me. Tiny bathroom with a tiny shower. Instructed that you are forbidden from bringing food in to your room. “We arrived at approximately 9pm, slightly later than advised. Although the front door was locked, the manager (I assume) was still there, cleaning. He let us in when I telephoned and kindly carried our case up to the room. The room itself was clean, fresh, well equipped. However, the room was extremely cold on arrival. “If you’re looking for a cheap stay I recommend this listing. I was travelling with 5 friends to Manchester to meet up with other friends and this location was perfect for distance from the city centre. About £12/13 in an uber. The communication could have been better for us but in the end it was fine. The most important part was it was clean and comfortable.
