Historical building. No elevator. Carrying luggage and travel gear upstairs could be a challenge for some people. Lovely, big rooms.

Clean, Quiet, Walking distance, yummy croissants

Data di pubblicazione: 14-lug-2017
Best part is location, walking distance to most restaurants and little shops. Very yummy croissants (other breakfast items hard boiled eggs, muffins/scones, instant oatmeal... adequate)... friendly staff, wine and bread reception with yummy olive oil and local vinegars... clean large room, quiet. only complaint is poor slow internet.

Great boutique hotel...

Lovely little place in Cambria close to Hearst castle. Had a great king suite. The only downside was the slight off putting smell in the hallways but was fine in the room.

A GEM!

Data di pubblicazione: 11-lug-2017
Pro: EVERYTHING!
Contro: NOTHING
This was a last minute choice of hotel for a wine tasting weekend, I simply waited too long to book a room and had very limited choices. But what luck! The location pretty close to Paso, in center of "town" and much cooler!!! The rooms/suites are very large and comfortable with nice view. They are upgrading and remodeling but that did not take away from the stay one bit. I loved the outdoor seating - I curled up there to read after a day of winetasting. It has electrical outlets to charge your kindle or phones...a fireplace and umbrellas. They host a wine social around 5pm- which is always nice. They had a nice selection of wines and small bites. Breakfast was pretty comprehensive but baked goods were particularly delicious. The staff is what made the stay so special. Emily (I think - she had an adorable baby boy) was just delightful. She guided us to good hiking trails appropriate for my elderly mother and recommended a great little restaurant for dinner. Every interaction with her and the staff was truly special. I felt like a true guest at a home and not a hote. We WILL come again!

Nice hotel but minimal effort by staff

Data di pubblicazione: 9-lug-2017
Pro: Room was lovely, spacious, clean, comfortable.
Contro: Breakfast options and staffing. There should be an innkeeper there overnight.
Posizione: Nice - near Main St. - lots of nice shops, restaurants -- health food store right nearby.
Very nice room and location near Main St. shops and restaurants. But there is room for improvement. I was a woman traveling alone and was told upon my arrival that the staff person leaves at 9 p.m. and that no one is there overnight. It doesn't seem right to cut that corner - there should be an innkeeper there overnight. Breakfast was very disappointing, even for continental. It consisted of hard-boiled eggs (good), store bought pastries (ok, but can't eat gluten like a lot of people so hotel may wish to consider that and offer plenty of other things), "juice" which was some sort of grape drink in cans whose first ingredient was high fructose corn syrup, apples and oranges (ok but no fresh cut up fruit during the summer?), and coffee and tea. I got there a half hour before the end of breakfast, and there was no water in the tea kettle, no coffee mugs and no staff person in sight. There was no yogurt, no cereal, no milk - there wasn't even a fork or knife or spoon in sight! The feeling was of the staff doing the absolute minimum - and sometimes not even that. It's too bad because it was a nice place, and with a little effort, they could have a nice breakfast and warmer atmosphere.

Nice, quaint & cozy hotel close to shops.

Data di pubblicazione: 30-giu-2017
Pro: The whole vibe and location
It was so quaint and peaceful. You get a feel of stepping back in time as you do with this whole area of Cambria, yet it is updated and accommodating. It feels like an "old money" house with a library/study and a room with games around the fireplace. There is free wine and appetizers every evening and homemade croissants and scones as well as other baked goodies each morning. Nice firepit area and other seating on the back patio. It is close to walk to all of the shops and restaurants and yet not far from moonstone beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You won't be disappointed.

Awesome hotel centrally located in Cambria!

Data di pubblicazione: 9-giu-2017
Pro: The staff were great, as we had not visited Cambria in 16 years. The grounds were well kept and just as pictured online.
Contro: Don't change a thing!
Posizione: Centrally located, eat breakfast/dinner at Linn's, Cambria Pub-best onion rings ever! Ragged Point- awesome venue with breath taking views.
This was one of the best romantic getaways my wife and I shared in a long time. Zara was awesome. We were traveling 4 hrs away, and knew we would be arriving late in the evening. The front desk closes at 9pm, so Zara took the time to explain the late arrival process. They have a drop / pick up box for room keys etc. She also shared info about local events and places to see for the weekend we were there. The place was immaculate, just as it was in online. Rooms were large and refreshing. Bed was comfortable. Room 20 has the most amazing sunrises. It comes over the large hillside, peeks into your room through a large glass cube wall and into your room. Huge bonus points from the wife on this one! It certainly started our days off on the right foot. The area shops on Burton Dr. were nice to check out on short strolls in the morning or evening before dinner. You have to check this place out. Totally Awesome!

Great place to stay for visiting Hearst Castle

Data di pubblicazione: 19-mag-2017 su Hotels
Stayed here when visiting Hearst Castle. The location is great, many restaurants within a short walk. The room was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities I needed. I particularly liked that access to Fiscalini trails was also a short walk away.
