I loved my stay here -- I normally don't review all my stays (I travel about 12 - 19 weeks a year for work). But I loved the Rigdon House -- I stayed in the luxury King room. I would definitely come here again -- it was fabulous. The staff were great -- rooms clean and with a wonderful fireplace. Just fantastic.

The room was large, (two rooms), bed very nice, all pretty clean. But... front desk understaffed, bathroom very old and they put in a faux fireplace where a dresser was- and ended up without realizing there was no dresser at all. So where does one put stuff // On the floor ? We canceled the second night but they were nice enough to say they would reimburse us for that night. We'd stay there again- but ask for room details first.

We greatly appreciated your comments about adding a dresser in the room. After you brought that to our attention, we immediately went out to search for the perfect dresser for that room. Last weekend, our staff attended the local Three Speckled Hens antique and art show and diligently searched for authentic and unique furniture that fit our personality at our Inn. They found a gorgeous dresser and night stand combo and we are very excited to add it to the room you were in. We are also currently in the process of updating our bathrooms and living spaces. We will reach a total of 6 updated rooms this season and are hoping to finish the rest next winter. With each room and bathroom update, we are taking our time and making them all unique and authentic. Each item from the tile to the door handles are being hand picked by one of our staff members. We all take such pride in the new updates of the property. We hope with the continuous updates of our rooms, that next time you visit, you'll have a much better experience. Absolutely wonderful !!

We can not wait to go back to The Rigdon House. Very clean, quiet, comfortable, spacious room. The house is in the heart of Cambria so we could walk to great restaurants and shops right across the streets. Wonderful staff and very reasonably priced!! Highly recommend !!

Disappointing for the price

Pro: Location.
Contro: Access to staff. Quiet during the day.
Posizione: Shopping and restaurants within walking distance.
Unexpected construction noise was very disappointing. We learned about it at check-in, too late to change our plans. No apology or reduction in room rate. From 8am to 6 pm every day there was drilling, nailing, etc. in the next room. We would like to have had an afternoon nap, but not possible. Breakfast not available until 9am, too late for us to take advantage of. No one at the front desk when we checked in, waited for 15 min, then several times we went to the front desk, no one ever there, no bell or note with instructions how to reach someone, no phone in the room. We paid $178 per night, will not be returning.
