Preferred Hotels & Resorts? Hardly So.

I can't believe that Preferred Hotels allows this Hotel to carry such label with the type of employees and zero attention to detail that they provide and portray. The staff does not have the slightest idea what a luxury property should run like. From the second we arrived all they have shown is this: three valet parking attendants in the garage standing around doing absolutely nothing, and not offering any help with the luggage, or even opening the door. The front desk could care less about my complaints either at check-in or checkout. I saw employees as they walked around the lobby and bar area yelling at one another as though they owned the place without regard to guests. None of the ice machines worked on ANY of the hotel floors; when I asked for ice at room service, they brought it up (literally) in an enormous plastic tub to pour it into my ice bucket without any type of care. I saw cleaning personnel walking around the lobby with open cleaning products, again just passing through. To start the day housekeeping loudly knocking on any and every door at eight o'clock in the morning on a Sunday, simply because it was convenient for them to do so without regard to noise levels or anyone around. And that $25 resort fee per day for a badly bent bucket of ice, a run-of-the-mill coffee maker, and a mediocre swimming pool is unacceptable. Quite frankly this property deserves a quality inspection by Preferred Hotels and Resorts, because they certainly are not worthy of the label.

I am incredibly sorry that your stay went so poorly, especially regarding our staff. We usually pride ourselves on excellent customer service and I am very upset that this was not reflected during your stay. I will be sending your review to the managers of each department to review service standards with their teams. Again, I am very sorry that your experience was poor, but I will do everything I can to ensure our team is made aware and brought to the standards they should be at.
