“The Heron’s Landing is right across the road from the oceanfront. It is simple, honest, basic accomo, and if you’re being picky, it’s a bit dated. That said it very clean and very well kept. Covered parking is available, and the included breakfast was a bonus, given the price point. Overall, it was excellent value for the rate paid. ”

“The room was comfortable but starting to show wear. Little things like the soap dish was upside down and shower curtain too low, fraying of carpet. The staff more than made up for any downfall. They were all so friendly and pleasant, gave us rooms close to each other. The breakfast was very good, and the cook was excellent. Changed breakfast into a good experience and we left with big hugs from him. He’s part of the family now now. So a great rating from us ”

“Worst IHG hotel ever. Having been lived in IHG hotels in 3 countries and very frequent visitor. With this experience I am not going to rethink about IHG. Cheese omlette labelled but served with pork in it. I wouldn’t want to give any star ”

“Room was fine. Staff were courteous, especially in helping with the uncooperative TV! All in all our stay was fine, though basic, although the price was "basic" too! So no complaints.”

“If you have low expectations you will be fine. Theres nowhere to set any toiletries and theres nowhere to hang towels you intend to use again. The coffee pot is awkwardly placed on top of a microwave on top of a small fridge. The flooring felt dirty so we felt we had to wear shoes inside.”

“This was probably my 4th or 5th time staying at the Bayview Hotel and again it was great! The front desk staff were super friendly & helpful. It's clean. Free breakfast. Pool and a Hottub (plus waterslide if you have kids 👌). Close to everything. It has everything you need in a hotel. It is my go to place to stay when I am in the area. I'll be back!”

They claimed that the discounted rate—a verified rate for Expedia.ca registered users—had been posted without their approval. Although the property did eventually honor the original rate, the timing of the demand was highly stressful. Communication regarding access was also difficult. I had to text the property to get the lock-box code for...
