“We were able to check the car into the carpark 2 hrs prior to our check in which was handy. Nice size room but the bathroom door which had transparent glass on the top was opposite the bed meaning to privacy whilst on the loo! The sash windows rattled and one would not lock so we had to ram a piece of cardboard down the side to stop the rattling noise. Comfy bed and pillows. “Lovely stop on the way to Cornwall. Gorgeously comfortable bed and linen. We arrived exhausted from a long transatlantic flight with 2 cats and the owner was so kind to us. She saved our bacon as we honestly could not have driven further! Superb breakfast and we will definitely return 💜”

“When I came into the hotel and was given my room key, the first thing I noticed was the smell of dampness in the room. The carpet had burned marks all over it and stains and in places was missing carpet and built bar floor. The wallpaper was torn off the walls. “Lovely clean room with very comfortable bed and excellent shower. Superb views across to the hills behind the village. Very nice toiletries provided and excellent tea/coffee/hot chocolate in room facilities with biscuits! I really enjoyed the comfortable residents lounge which was unexpected but a nice place to relax and read a book (motor racing or vehicle enthusiasts will enjoy the book selection).
