“This time we stayed in the Cottage. It was a separate unit behind the main house. Easy to enter using the code I was emailed. The cottage was spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large with a claw foot tub and a wraparound shower curtain. The room A/C was excellent. It was very comfortable all day and night. The ceiling fan was whisper quiet. The cottage included a kitchen area with a half-size refrigerator/freezer, counter top, cabinets, tableware, microwave, and a table....

“We arrived at 12pm and asked if we could leave our vehicle while my family and I went to the beach, the guy said he would call when the room was ready but he never did. We were at the beach until 4:30 and wanted to check in but the guy left and said he won’t be back till 5pm. A lot of other upset guest wanting to check in and couldn’t. We were tired and needed to shower. The blow dryer in the room didn’t work and I kept smelling electrical burn.”

“Husband wanted to stay here, NEVER AGAIN! I believe room wasn’t cleaned, NO hand towels and bath towels in the room. Something was spilled under the wall by the hanging mirror. When we went to close the blinds for the night, a man’s tank top came falling off between the blinds. Post said they serve hot breakfast, NOPE .. muffins and coffee is all they had. Parking lot was full of trash. Couldn’t find a cart to carry in our luggage or carry it out when we checked out.”

Joellyn was a fabulous host; she served delicious breakfast and offered several tips/ recommendations for activities around the island. The location of the home is near to several other historical landmarks/ museums, the Strand, and the Seawall. “This is no longer a Hilton property and is under new ownership and it shows. The pool was dirty and had mold around the stair area entrance to the water, which could cause someone to slip and fall. Speakers and tv's around the swim up bar did not work. However our bartenders were awesome so we just used our phones. Also there were no water bottles provided in rooms that cost us over $235 a night and on our first morning waking up we had a small roach climb over the covers while my husband was...

“I reserved a room for me and my kids and as soon as I entered the room we took our shoes off and the floor was dirty and sticky. One of the lamps stop working as soon as I turned it on they only gave me one towel and the ceiling had mold I wouldn’t recommend this hotel because you can’t even use the swimming pool because it was never cleaned and the water was green. The bed sheets had stains and felt dirty.”
