“The power was out”

“What a disaster. Worst ever. I show up and they somehow gave my room away, with no rooms available and no explanation available either. To top things off, the front desk girl and her manger are rude and unsympathetic. Not even a polite apology. Just stared at me expressionless. Really odd vibe. Have stayed at many Courtyards before and they’re generally clean and well kept, but this one looked like a complete dump outside and in the lobby. “Elevator not working upon arrival and staff did not make us aware until after check in. My wife has health problems. I could barely make it up the steps had we known upon check-in about the elevator not working we rebooked a new room and they charge security deposit without telling us anything.”

“The room and bathroom were clean, but there was a noticeable smell of cigarettes. The front door needed cleaning, and the bathroom door was also dirty. The bed sheets were clean, and the bed itself was comfortable. In a pinch, I would stay again — but I’d definitely bring some air freshener.”
