“The room was absolutely gorgeous, very clean and had the amenities needed. The shower was absolutely amazing oh my days. Lovely staff, all pleasant. Spa was absolutely spot on, so relaxing. Breakfast was delicious. Evening meal was delicious too. ”

“Quaint location in an historical building. Some uneven floorboards and doors would get stuck, but that’s to be expected ina building several hundred years old.”

“Comfy room, generous towels. Arrived late Friday evening, no bother getting a table in the pub downstairs for food- they don't take table reservations, so I wasn't at a disadvantage. Good wide choice on the menu and attentive service. There was a nightwatchman for after hours- what a treasure! He showed me how to access once the pub was closed, helped me empty the bags from the car and carried them to our room all with a friendly, nothing was too much trouble approach. A real asset to the Old...

“A lovely clean modern hotel with quality furnishings and decor. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Would have preferred opening rather than fixed windows. Would definitely stay here again. Well done Wyndham Super 8!”

“Accommodation was satisfactory but the noise from other residents throughout the night was awful. In our room on the ground floor, you could hear every footstep and every word - the walls were paper thin. ”

“If you’re disabled or just an older guest beware the rooms have not been reviewed by an appropriate person. I found the bathroom a death trap. No grab rails in the shower but the worst was the slippery floor in the toilet with nothing to grab onto when struggling to arise from the toilet. My husband had to help me but not before on making an attempt my feet slipped and I finished up with a nasty fall and a now painful back. At 2am I had to ring reception I was frozen- the radiator didn’t work...

“Clean room,all coffee, tea etc, cleaning staff lovely, asked if i needed anything during my stay. Had a meal in the main hotel, meal was great, staff great. 24 hr reception”
