Guest house a Shinglehouse

“Clean fresh room nice staff”

“A true B&B. You stay in a home full of antiques and historical photographs. The host was lovely and welcoming. I was on a business trip I had limited time on the premise, would have loved to sit in the living room a bit longer!”

“Great staff, loved the property”

“Loved the location in a beautiful rural area not far from town, which was very peaceful and quiet. Enjoyed the new deck, lovely nature setting, and lighted pathway with flickering lantern lights in the evening. Host was responsive to any of our questions. Overall a good stay to have quick access to Allegany State Park.”

“The odor of stale cigarette smoke permeated our room. It did not seem that it was from a one time occurrence but from years of constant smoking.”

“Every year for our wedding anniversary, my spouse and I rent a different cabin or cottage as a weekend getaway. After 11 years of this little tradition, we both agreed that Stargazer was the best one we ever visited. The view is stunning, the cottage immaculately maintained with everything you could possibly need, and there is access to a beautiful eight mile trail that is perfect for reconnecting with nature with your loved ones (two and four footed!) The host was very kind and helpful, and...
