Hotel a Smithville

“Needed a good night sleep and a hot shower. Didn't need anything fancy. This hotel did just that. Inexpensive and provided what I needed.”

“My suite was very spacious and well designed, but I especially loved the surroundings. The grounds are beautiful and make an excellent place for a short walk. It also feels sheltered from the rest of the world--town is close, but it seems like you are far away in a pleasant little town.”

“The rooms of one from a bad horror flick. They working the graveyard shift kept rude and sexual comments. They get mad if you have overtime visitor's”

“Totally enjoyed this hotel. Very convenient and clean and secure. Got a room right next to end doors so very easy going and coming. Only issue was the people above us for the first couple nights. A child kept running and jumping around and heavy walking but stopped around midnight so could have been worse.”

“It’s obvious the lack of competition for hotel chains is one of the reasons why this (and other properties) aren’t upgrading or even moderately maintaining their properties. While the staff were very nice, the hotel and rooms felt old, dated, threadbare and in need of renovation. Brown County is stunning … but its hotels leave a lot to be desired.”

“The place was a bit dated. The rooms were plenty large but the chairs were not comfortable. We end bringing a patio chair inside.”

“For a basic motel, the accommodations were as expected. Clean room, very basic amenities that were adequate. No bugs which is definitely a positive! For the cost we were satisfied.”

“We arrived on Tuesday night. The room we received had a dirty towel in the bathroom. The hotel changed our room without hesitttion. The next day we left by 9 am and came back at noon. The room hadn’t been cleaned yet.”

“The room was clean. Our room had the built in bunkbeds and that gave us decent privacy from our kids. But the bed rail for the top was so close to the ceiling it was a struggle to get in and out. Parking was great. Staff was wonderful. Not much else to the room. One very small tv and since the town closes down by 5:00-7:00 a tv would be nice since it was obviously a room for kids too.”

“Exhaust fan in bathroom of our room did not function and maintenance did not have motor to fix it. One of the two main elevators was inoperable so had to use stairs frequently”

“The room was clean and maintained. The owners left a number to call for checking in, while I stood outside in the sun. The property looked rough, it had poison ivy growing out onto the parking lot.”

“Our room was clean, updated and spacious. The breakfast included hot and cold choices. The hot choices changed every day which is nice. All staff were very friendly and helpful.”
