Hotel a South Lancaster

“Bright light outside windows at night shone through top of windows, no total darkness at night.”

“Hotel was nice, good location. Biggest problem is that they don't tell u they charge u 2x plus. There is a charge for being at the property and over $100 in taxes. Then for the room with another $80 in taxes. Parking is $69/ night. (Of course taxed). They have a nice handicap parking area. Very few carts for # of rooms. We were packing 1 and they took the cart with things on it without even knocking!”

“Beautifully refurbished 1854 home with so much heart put into every detail . Heather and Jason were such friendly and accommodating hosts. We enjoyed a delicious home cooked breakfast every morning followed by a walk around charming Holden. We’d definitely recommend a stay here!”

“The staff was amazing here, but the actual accommodations were not good. The location is fine. Our first room smelled like smoke. The second room was better. The television didn't work and on our second night there, we were woken up by what sounded like a massive yard blower. We have no idea what it was. We were afraid to leave the hotel. That's how loud it was. I think this is suitable if you are thinking of camping, but it just needs a lot of updating. The staff was so kind and present, but...

“We called ahead to ensure late check-in would be possible; the gentleman at the front desk desk was very polite, efficient and professional as we arrived at nearly midnight. however, the lady at the front desk during check-out was cold and unfriendly, curtly instructing us to drop the key cards in the box and gruffly said, "you're good to go". so, there is some unevenness with staff professionalism, but we did not have to interact with them much at all.”

“It’s a lovely inn and very quiet. Nice bathroom, but when we were there the room maintenance seems to have fallen behind - but that may not be the case in the rest of the inn.”

“We had a very brief stay. Our only complaint was that the heat was so high that we had to open the window. We tried lowering the thermostat with minimal results. (i will say that they offered us a room change but it was so late that we declined.)”

“Basic amenities with flat pillows and a hard bed. Good for business travel for one or two nights but don’t plan a trip and expect comforts at the property.”

“The room was immaculate. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The refrigerator and microwave were clean and worked well. The bathroom was very modern and there were plenty of towels for two. The staff were friendly and offered advice for restaurants in the vicinity. Would highly recommend for both temporary and longer stays. Great location.”
