Hotel vicino a South West Coast Path Section 43 Trailhead - Torquay

“Definire questo affittacamere un' hotel è piu' che un' azzardo. Camera piccolissima e bagno ancor più piccolo tanto che... Il lavabo era in camera. Per aprire l valige (trolley!) dovevamo fare i turni ed organizzarci negli spostamenti in camera. Zero ascensore, zero aria condizionata, zero frigo... solo due scalcagnati letti. Colazione meno che francescana. Zero parcheggio. Prezzo da Grand' hotel- E' stata una solenne fregatura.”

“Lovely building and really helpful owners / staff . Was really clean and tidy and the breakfast was very good . Only a couple of minor things really , the shower head kept dipping down so was a bit of pain when you were shampooing etc . Bit noisy at night time but obviously the very nice owners can’t help that .”

“We were met by our first names and instantly offered a cup of tea and cake! This personal,friendly theme ran throughout our short stay and made it a really lovely experience. The rooms were large and beautifully furnished with everything you could want and shiny clean. Breakfast was well organised with a time slot so we could again benefit from the personal touch from our super hosts. Excellent, freshly cooked large portions😀. Would happily stay here again and recommend to friends and family.”

“Its high end with great decor and fab spa facilities. Our stay was somewhat spoiled by drunken guests and their friends in the next room making excessive noise and shouting between 12.30-2.30 am, keeping us awake, security was called twice to try and resolve and did offer us a rom change in the middle of the night which was not practical. On speaking to Harry the manager it appears this was not the only case that evening. The hotel should consider introducing a quiet policy after 12 with...

“We have stayed at Astor house before so we came back to the same apartment. They had upgraded the sofas to recliners which was a nice surprise. The apartment itself is easy to get to clean and Torquay town centre is a short walk away. It has a great view over the beach side of Torquay and the area is quiet. The place is clean and well maintained and the host kindly provided some biscuits and milk. I would highly recommend this place.”

“The owners were incredibly lovely and helpful, great for a chat over breakfast and any time we crossed paths. They had ideas and suggestions of where to go and what to do and very much gave a homely feeling to our stay. The breakfast was delicious. They made a full English breakfast both days to order whilst also having a selection of different cereals, fruits and pastries. “Lovely hotel full of character, little tired in places but that didn’t affect its charm. Beautiful view from the luxury room. Nice big room and lovely bathroom. Maid service excellent. Breakfast did not disappoint and again with beautiful views over the sea. Would book again. Staff all very polite and helpful.”
