“La stanza era arredata molto bene e in modo originale, le dimensioni adeguate e il letto spazioso. Il bagno era stato pulito molto in fretta, se era stato pulito: sul lavandino c'eral'impronta di una saponetta usata precedentemente, la parte del WC sotto l'asse era sporca di urina in più punti. Il pavimento del bagno era stato scopato, ma lurido perché non lavato probabilmente per più giorni. Nella teiera nell'armadio della camera abbiamo trovato le bustine di té bagnate del cliente precedente!...

“Un bel giardino e uno stagno. La manutenzione della proprieta' insufficiente , il locale era sporco ed il pavimento appiccicoso. Purtroppo alla mattina ho fatto anche la doccia con acqua fredda in mancanza di quella calda. La proprieta' ha potenziale . La gestione va implementata . Il prezzo della cena molto alto per quanto ordinato.”

“I have just stayed at The Fighting Cocks for the weekend. Unfortunately we choose the weekend of the A31 closure and the New Forest fires! Resulting in a lot of traffic passing the pub. Not their fault. The staff were very helpful and friendly the room was great, clean and comfortable and breakfast was included and really tasty. We had an evening meal on the Saturday which was ample and reasonably priced. All in all a great little stop over.”

“A beautiful place to spend a night or two if exploring the area. Comfortable individual rooms. The one I stayed in looks like it was once a stable block. Well furnished and very clean. Staff very friendly. Good parking. Close to picturesque village centre with many shops selling local produce. Highly recommended.”

“Situated in the heart of Cowes right on the High Street. We stayed here one night to attend a family party. It was perfect for 1 night, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The Anchor is a lively, popular pub serving local beers and weekly live music. The room had some ear plugs provided but we didn't need them, a nice thought though.”
