“We were not informed the room (Bakersfield, CA) was located in the annex, which was located next to an entrance/exit door causing the room to be extremely warm despite the air conditioner.”

“The hotel has went down hill. We have stayed multiple times before this time was different. The hotel smells real bad, like animals and stale water. I asked for a new room from the first one because it was adjoining and I requested no adjoining and the smell was awful. Second room the smell was no better. “If you just need a clean place to sleep without any frills, a less than decent breakfast, no pool, etc. then this place is fine. Cheap, quiet, dated but clean. Close to several shopping and restaurant options too.”

“Place was clean . The pool was nice. The staff was friendly. It was a very basic breakfast but it was really good. The shower had bad water pressure. Other than that, it was nice. It was on a good location .”

“This hotel wasn't the nicest hotel we stayed at, but would stay at again. It was clean but definitely not the most up-to-date hotel. All of the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The only real complaint I have would be that the hot tub had so much chlorine in it, that we couldn't even sit in it because it burned our eyes so bad.”

“The staff was great. The hotel was wonderful!! But I wouldn’t book though Expedia. They tried to change my reservation at the last minute and give me a room with a king size bed. I explained to them that I was staying with my 17 year-old grandson and was not going to share a bed, that it was unacceptable. And I booked the room way in advance. “The fitness center was a joke 2 bikes and a treadmill which did not work; floor was sticky carpet was moist. Never had houskeeping over a 4 day stay. Breakfast was pedestrian.”

“My family stayed here this week because our air conditioning went out at home. All of the staff were friendly and very helpful. We enjoyed the pool and my son loved the breakfast! Highly recommend.”

“This property is absolutely GROSS!! Thank goodness I keep a can of Lysol disinfectant spray with me in my van because my room screamed GERMS everywhere’s!! This hotels inside looked like something out of the 1970s. With all original furnishings from the 1970s. VERY OLD AND OUTDATED ALL THROUGHOUT THIS HOTEL. Although the hotel was nasty and ran down looking both inside and out. Their hotel clerk there was SUPER nice!! Overall, just a nasty hotel.”

“Pros: Wonderful staff and nice pool area. Decent breakfast snack selection. Cons: Old building with old rooms. Shower had mold and previous occupants shower towels were still hanging on bathroom door. Room smelled musty. Water temperature nozzles were backwards.”

“The elevators to the rooms are oddly distant from the lobby. Our room was clean, but was missing some basic supplies such as tissue and coffee for the Keurig machine. Overall, it served its purpose for us (a quite overnight sleep) but was not overly impressive.”

“Our room was clean and spacious. The staff was very friendly and personable. The pool was at a great temperature. Unfortunately the Jets in the hot tub were not working. On our last day, the breakfast was delayed in opening because of a staffing issue, but the front desk staff handled it really well. Good variety at breakfast and nice common area near the lobby to play games with our family. We would stay there again.”
