“Beautiful part of the state, the simplicity of the accommodation blended with the beautiful countryside. The sauna was a treat, and food at Maydena Eats was delicious. WiFi instructions were wrong (maybe outdated?) and shower floors and bedroom corners had been overlooked— fixable things. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.”

“ I liked the location of the property being close to places within walking distance like the Wilderness railway. The room was neat and tidy and was generally quiet during my four-night stay. My only frustration was with the tv in the room as many a time the 'no signal' message popped up. Other than that it is a nice place to stay, and I enjoyed a Sunday dinner in their restaurant. ”

The room facilities were basic (the shower head leaked reducing pressure, one electrical blanket did not work and the general cleaning could be better) we thought that the continental breakfast layout could be better to reduce congestion. “Very nice studio room - had everything one could need in a compact and comfortable space. Very nice water view and walkable for persons with reasonable ability/fitness. Otherwise very short drive to any part of Strahan. Host was very prompt in communication. Check-in and out was all incredibly easy. Be aware that studio is a carport away from multi bed cottage, and any movement of that guest’s vehicle is very noticeable. ”

“The Old Bank in Cygnet was such a charming place to stay. The staff were genuinely friendly & helpful & we were made to feel at home. Everything we needed was provided & the room (the Stirling Suite) was beautifully styled. The ensuite bathroom was gorgeous. Breakfast in the adjoining garden-room cafe was superb, and the apple orchard out back was lovely to explore. “Well located to Mt Fields. It is a Large 2 BR even if we only needed 1. Very dated, poorly maintained, and dirty. Kitchen cabinets and cutlery drawer dirty. We had to wash dishes we were going to use. We decided not to cook so as not to have to wash everything. There was only one wine glass and when my partner washed it, he cut his hand and we had to bandage it.
