“Our shepherd hut in Pinewood was spotlessly clean and refreshed every day. Staff were always on hand if needed and really helpful at checkin (the process for checking in and out was seamless). Marshmallows, skewers, logs for the indoor and outdoor wood burners, and upmarket tea bags all complimentary; only let down by basic Nescafé coffee sachets and pots of UHT milk. “The view from my accommodation and also that of my family members in the two next door was way better than the picture - literally 'tree tops' - looking across the Kent countryside through mature trees. The terrace was perfect for sitting out. The rooms were modern and really lovely, air conditioned, well equipped and with a sliding Japanese style door for privacy when the kids were in bed. The reserve was so peaceful”

The room was lovely very clean everything you would expect with real comfy beds. The hotel is in the perfect location to walk along the sea front or have a stroll through the gardens at the back. “Had a great stay at the lookout. Some of the decor is a bit dated in places. But when it was done was done to a very high standard so has worn well. The hotel has benefit of parking which is charged at £10 a day. This compares well to costs of public car parks in Rye. Definitely worth it for the convenience. Room was large and airy and well cleaned. Will be bsck”

“Twin room there was no gap between the beds but this was fine for us. The heat and aircon was great silent and easy to use the sea view was lovely. The breakfast was high quality there was a faff with coffee which ought to be explicitly told to diners to save discomfort and embarrassment.
