“The place is an ancient inn in a wonderful spot of the countryside. Perfect for trips along Hadrian's wall or nice walks in the fields. No restaurants in the area except the inn's one, where it's possibile to eat until 8.30 pm. Excellent beer until late. The toilet area is really tiny, but the rooms are lovely.”

“Room was fine, tea and coffee wasn't very nice and no complementary biscuits. No magnifying mirror in the bathroom. States Brompton however 8 miles away. Bed was really uncomfortable. Evening meal was nice, 10% surcharge on you bill! Wine expenses! Breakfast was so so. Waited a long time for someone to come to the checkin fest on arrival and departure. Probably would try an alternative hotel ”

“We stopped for 1 night. The rooms were absolutely spotless, had everything you needed for a B&B. We were able to check in sooner than 3pm. the food was lovely. Great location, there was a hotel with a bar within about a 15 min walk. The couple who own it were really friendly. Weve already booked up to go back in june.”

“This tiny Inn is definitely worth a visit! The new owners were very friendly and welcoming and the room was comfortable and very clean. The history of the building meant that the bar is tiny, but very welcoming - we spent a great evening drinking and chatting with locals. No food available on the first night, but the owners were happy to recommend and book somewhere for us to eat. Their kitchen was open the second night and the quality was excellent. “The room was nice and the amenities fine, but it wasn't exactly the warmest of welcomes when we checked in -- and then we didn't get to properly check out because the whole hotel was locked up, and the owners had departed, so we had to unlock the outside door to get in and drop the key in a key box! ”
