Location is awesome, love the pool, love the layout of the condo.
So the day we checked in, we found out that the elevator is not working at all. It was 60 steps up to our unit and my wife and I are 72 years old. Carrying three coolers, groceries, drinks, ice, etc., etc. etc. Not at all a fun day for me or my family. This should’ve been communicated to us prior to our arrival. The condo itself is nice and I love the layout and the pool and the docking situation and the actual location on the river, but the place is showing a lot of age considering it’s not that old but I understand the weather has beat it up pretty well. Also… Our unit was never serviced or cleaned before our arrival and we didn’t find this out until we got back to the condo at 6 PM and the cleaning didn’t take place until about 7:30 PM. Beds had been slept in and never changed and made, all of the sinks, filthy, bathroom, dirty, etc. Not nice. Absolutely ridiculous and inexcusable in my opinion. And the thing is it’s very hard to call anybody or contact anyone in reference to these units. Half of the people we talked to didn’t know where the unit was wanted to know the ZIP Code wanted to know the name, etc. etc. etc. it’s like they had no clue who we were or where we were. Very frustrating. finally someone showed up to clean it but not a great start. We had already started washing the sheets and towels, etc. before the guy came to service the unit. There is no excuse for this in my opinion. Mistakes happen, but then you can’t even get a hold of anyone.
