“We were there to celebrate Our 61st Wedding Anniversary. The Wednesday afternoon 6/24/26 staff were polite and very professional. They were very accommodating. We would definitely return.”

“For the price I would have preferred to stay in a motel. The staff were kind but I did have some problems with the actual property: I found a chicken bone in my room, the shower water was lukewarm at best, and my room smelled like smoke. All the furniture and facilities are very worn and not like shown in the pictures.”

“The hotel is fine albeit dated. It works for a place to sleep. Also there aren’t other options in the area so you’re kind of limited. The hotel has the basics but is in need of an update”

“We weren’t there long enough to use any amenities so I can’t really speak to that but it was a nice room and bathroom. No complaints at all. If breakfast was supposed to be part of the fee it was not obvious when it was served.”

“Staff were very nice and knowledgeable about the history of the resort. My stay was very relaxing. I also enjoyed the zip-line tour. I recommend trying one of the salamander adventure activities.”

“Well overall our stay was fine except the room was not made up, nor the towels changed. But it only took one call to get clean towels and have wet removed”

“It’s a beautiful place but the rooms were fairly average. Nothing special. The shower was the worst part, it was either super hot or cold. Went to a trickle on medium. Couldn’t wash my hair! Also the breakfast buffet was $30 per person and not that great either. If you’re a golfer, you’d love it. Also rained so couldn’t sit by the pool so … eh.”

“I can think of nothing to dislike about this extraordinary property. Beautiful, manicured lawns and gardens offering beautiful vistas and pathways. The main lodge and rooms are so beautifully decorated and the atrium and dining room are spectacular as is the food. Enjoyed sitting at the bar with a nice glass of wine and chatting with the knowledgeable, nice, young bartender. Staff is friendly and helpful all leading the visitor to a special experience.”
