On arriving at the hotel the car park barrier was being repaired with gaffer tape and we were instructed to park on double yellows. On attempting to check in we were told the hotel was fully booked and they didn't have the room that had been booked. “On arrival, we were shown to the "penthouse", a twin room on the third floor. The large bedroom light worked, but none of the smaller, bedside lights worked, so not great at night - totally or all nothing. Floor-space in the room was significantly compromised by a dismantled wooden bed-frame cluttering up the room. “Our large room was very spacious and it had a nice homely feel. The bed was very comfortable and the right size. There was also a decent back patio to enjoy our private dinner. Window and patio door opens wide to allow sufficient ventilation into our room. The room is clean and tidy including the bedding. There was enough space to store our luggage including our belongings. The ensuite was adequate with a decent shower. Our only criticism is the lack of a sufficient desk fan to keep cool during...
