The hotel is located at the foot of a mountain with a forest and a river, and is very quiet! โL'hotel ha un'ottima posizione rispetto alla stazione della metro adiacente: direttamente dalla metro si giunge sotto l'hotel grazie ad un sottopassaggio dedicato! Tale sottopassaggio chiudeva la sera tarda, ma il personale della metro era provvisto di una semplice cartina per spiegarti come raggiungere l'hotel anche dall'uscita principale! (nulla di difficile e cmq vicino)

โThey gave me a late checkout (2 hours extension) for no additional charge. Staff tried to talk in English with me, and was very helpful. Breakfast was amazing also, and very cheap! The room is very spacious. Some things seem a bit old, and the red light in the bathroom did not work. But it was a nice stay, would probably do it again in the future!โ

โWe had 3 fantastic stays at the Riverte Kyoto Kamogawa. Very service minded staff that took good care of us from arriving to checkout. Room was spacious, nice and comfortable - and the hotel has a small rooftop terrace. Area is quiet and nice, but with a selection of amazing small restaurants close by. We will stay here again when we visit Kyoto. โ

โThis was my second stay in one year and I chose it because of its proximity to The Philosophers Walk as well as being located in a residential community, though quite close to a major temple as well as quieter and lovely ones. There are only 4 rooms; this is a typical lodging house - shared bath and kitchen. Proprietor Nakamoto is very helpful !!!โ

โMr Yamamoto is an excellent host who was very helpful. His fluent English is helpful. The house has a good supermarket and other shops very near by. 10-12 min walk to Kitaoji subway station. Taxis come upon request within a few minutes. Out of town center but a very comfortable place to stay.โ
