“Staff were amazing on reception and a shout out to the male manager(?) next door at Beefeater! Excellent service! Room was sufficient for our needs the only thing that would be great would be a smart tv in the room!”

“The general condition of the hotel is poor, old, tired and a bit scruffy. The rooms just about fit the bill, but the bathrooms are very small. “Gorgeous property, staff were so lovely, lots of parking! Room and decor was lovely and we felt so at home. It’s a shame we didn’t spend more time on site. Breakfast was great, and the cafe was insane! Probably one of the best cafes in the county, if not country. We will definitely return. The choice to purchase local produce from the pantry was a nice touch too. We visited the area for business, but hope to come back in our spare time and stay again!”

“Situated in a picture postcard little village, everything about the hotel was top notch, the decor throughout and our room was tasteful and modern, everything was spotless and clean. The food was excellent, I had the fish platter which I would highly recommend. Staff were attentive and polite, it's a five stars from me”

“Personal choice but didn't like the evening menu choices and breakfast was good if poached eggs were cooked better. Mine still had the clear egg slime on them. Staff were brilliant even down to the housekeeping. Room we had was really lovely, modern and a good size. Lots of space in bathroom and a great shower. Free parking was a real bonus. Really enjoyed our weeks stay at golden fleece hotel”
