“I arrived at the hotel very late night and tired, and I had to wake up early for my 8:00 a.m. flight. While walking barefoot in the room, I felt something sharp under my foot — it was a piece of nail that a previous guest had cut and left on the floor, which clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. It was obvious the room was not clean, but since I needed to rest, I decided to mention it at the reception before leaving. “Appreciate it was the hottest day of the year however a dirty old fan as the only source of cooling isn’t really acceptable. Hotel is in a great location, little bit tired but the member of staff on reception was excellent.”

“For the price we paid the hotel was absolutely fine. Lovely leisure facilities, nice biscuits with the tea and coffee tray. Lift’s available. Bar and restaurant and food were good. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Sadly it’s all a bit tired. Cracks in plaster around the building, dark decor just in need of TLC but as I said before, this was reflected in a very good price. I would definitely book here again.”

“Parking is excellent, staff are lovely. Our room not so good. The window catch was broken so it was hard to open and wouldn’t close properly, none of the wall lights worked and despite booking the room for 2, there was just 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel.”

“In camera non è stato fatto il letto per il minore. Alla reception ci è stato dato l'occorrente, per il secondo letto, " elegantemente" infilato in un sacco nero dell'immondizia. Il pavimento di tutta la hall e zona colazione è appiccicosa ( da quanti mesi non viene pulita decentemente?). Nel complesso, per una notte, va bene ma ci sarebbe tanto da lavorare...”

“Michael at reception was so helpful and gave me all the information I needed with regards to my room and food/drink. My room was clean, very peaceful and had a good sized desk and office chair so I was able to work during my stay. Food was nice and generous portions. The air con was fantastic in this hot weather. Overall an excellent hotel for business. I will be back!”

“Original old rooms but full of character. Comfortable bed, tea and coffee. Lovely river view with outside tables and chairs. Had dinner and breakfast which were very good. Ample parking”

“Location is fine and also the surrounds but breakfast is not suitable for non uk people. I dont like british breakfast and ı could not find much to eat”
