“We frequently stay at B&Bs and this property outshone all the others. The bathrooms were all modern and very clean, comfy bed, great lighting in the rooms. The breakfast might have been the best part, however, and every day was delicious, filling, and pretty presentation. The inn provides lots of water and soft drink choices, as well as coffees and teas (all self-serve). Fresh-baked cookies every night, and self-serve wine, too! “We absolutely loved our stay at the Thornwald Mansion. It is nicely secluded in a park yet you are within walking distance to Dickinson College and a shopping center. The property has outstanding amenities and the food selections at breakfast were delicious. The service exceeded our expectations. The room and the bed were comfortable and very quiet.
This mansion went under fire and then was rebuilt by the current owner from the ground up paying attention to detail and preserving its history.

“We came across this place purely by chance, as we had a day in hand while driving across the state and were simply looking for somewhere with an outdoor pool for some R&R. What a find, and rather better than some random Hampton Inn!!!
It's a beautiful place and even us jaded Brits were impressed with the historic house, the decor and the setting. The hosts were attentive and friendly but, with no other guests there, we really felt we had the place to ourselves. Would highly recommend.”

“This is a beautiful property both outside and in. The proprietors were friendly and respectful. The pool and patio with the surrounding gardens are very peaceful and relaxing. The house is well insulated for noise. We didn’t know there were 6 other people staying there until we met them in the dinning room for a delicious breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay and, have already told our family and friends to stay there when traveling in the area. ”

The bathroom had all Dove products (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap AND lotion!) which was a nice and surprising touch.
