Hotel a Tropical Park

“A couple things weren’t clear when I initially booked. I didn’t realize this was a boat access only accommodation. The staff operate the boat across the river and at one point the host left resulting in being stuck at the cabins. In addition I booked because it said free airport shuttle. The airport shuttle was not free so I’m not sure why this place popped up when I put that filter on. “Good breakfast good room and staff”

“Unfriendly staff, room charges not permitted for restaurants or lobby purchases. Arrived at 3pm for check in, did not have a room till 5:30pm. Had lunch and dinner at the restaurant, and breakfast next morning at the café: waited more than an hour and a half for food on all three occasions. For dinner: ordered one cheese pizza, took almost 2 hours and showed up raw in the middle. They brought it back 40min later, still raw in the middle having just been broiled on top. “This hotel is a quiet gem off the beaten path. The staff are very friendly, rooms clean and comfortable. The pool area also great for a quick dip. The most surprising is the food at the restaurant - that red snapper was the best I ate across my travels to Belize!!!! The only negative is the water surrounding the area is unswimable. I stayed for one night and it was great for my time there.”

“If you are looking for the jungle experience than this is the place for you. We were greeted by the local troop of Howler monkeys on arrival. Beautiful house right on the river. Locals had been seeing Manitee in the river near the house. Kenny and Shanna were great. We are already planning a return trip. ”

“We only stayed one night but it was very comfortable. We had a beautiful view of the ocean from our room and were close to the restaurant (that's across the street). Nice location near the lighthouse and Belize sign, plus walking distance to the "downtown" and bus terminal. ”

“I had a very disappointing experience at this property and would not recommend it. The overall condition of the property was far below what was advertised. It is clear that the place has not been properly cleaned or maintained for quite some time. “Wonderful setting in an expansive Oriental garden with coy ponds. Serene, relaxing. The hostess very welcoming. Their Asian restaurant has best Asian food I've had in Belize hands down..it is comfortable and surrounded by coy pond littered gardens. Hotel room clean and tidy and quiet. Quite the diamond in the rough. ”
