Hotel a Tuckasegee

“We needed a couple of days away from home, and Harrah's sounded like the right choice. And that it was. Only a 2-hour drive through beautiful mountains and forests, the sprawling landscape of Harrah's was its own marvel. The first day/evening we were there, we walked miles to familiarize ourselves with the locations of the casino, restaurants, shops, bowling and other games, spas and other stuff. “Just adequate. Room was clean, but smelled moldy. Property is dated and off the beaten path. Low volume day we were there. Skeleton staff had to wait for someone to come check us in. Was out of waffle mix. No protien offered with breakfast. Seems like they are barely hanging on, but doing bare minimum still. Not a plan for success in my opinion. ”

“Loved the huge trees and rustic feel. Lovely place to relax and rock on the porch. Room was very clean and recently redone. No front desk front but staff sent emails. We plan to return again.”

“The room was clean but you could smell the room before you even opened the door. Wasn't sure if it was cleanser or air freshener or what but it was overwhelming and hard to relax. Also the room was so small you could barely walk around the beds to get to the sink (which was oddly far away from the bathroom) or the bathroom itself. Was not a welcoming environment in the room at all. The river in back was nice but the property itself is right off a main road with railroad tracks you have to cross...

“The hotel is in a good area, it's close to bojangles and the famous "Haywood Smokehouse". The owners let us check in early which was a plus! The room is old looking, pillows were flat, there was some repairs. Room was clean. We might stay here again.”
