“Very spacious room and bathroom, more like a suite. Very comfortable, sophisticated. Big car park. Club house & restaurant some distance to walk in bad weather, but they served some good food both at dinner and breakfast (only one course allowed!).”

“Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. ”

“Excellent hotel only complaint and it’s a little thing just no granola or yogurt on the Sunday at breakfast but Saturday was spot on and Sunday still had almost everything. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to family and friends ”

“Nice spacious and very clean room. Well facilitated with a tea tray and bottles of water. Room was immensely hot but thankfully able to open all the windows. Liked fresh cooked breakfast (as opposed to usual buffets) however I would love to see a better drinkable coffee being served and a little gripe - after requesting hard poached egg with no ‘snot’ my egg was totally snotty when I cut it and ran into my breakfast so didn’t eat much. “Room was ok but breakfast was a big let down in quality and . Breakfast started at 7am and was cooked to order leaving little time to eat before leaving for my flight. Didn’t have fresh eggs , just fake scrambled egg (yuk). ”

“This is an affordable hotel for a family short stay, clean, appears to be recently refurbished, located in a muslim neighbourhood near a mosque not far from the city centre. Friendly staff. It doesn't have a parking place but they gave us a spot to leave our car overnight. It is good in general if you are looking for a cheap family room for a night or two.”
