Hotel a Van Horne

“If you decide to visit the Amana Colonies, you must stay here at the Millwright hotel. This hotel has so much history and it is displayed everywhere. I truly enjoyed my stay here. They do have a restaurant on site that serves breakfast lunch and dinner. It is very close to all the shops and dining areas in town. I would definitely stay here again.”

“The room was not cleaned before we checked in. Sheets were dirty and there was hair all over the pillows. Carpets were filthy and very stained. ”

“The place was beautiful the owners were so nice and amazing. We spent the weekend between Amana Colonies and Iowa City. It was close to all the places we wanted to go and visit. I will defently stay there again if I am back in Iowa. ”

“Room was musty and smelled damp. Towels and other bath line were inconsistent. One towel was thread bare and the bath mat had spots wore thru. Breakfast was not edible. I was the first one in at 6am. Eggs were way overcooked and very chewey. Coffee was luke warm and tasted like it was watered down”

“Room appeared to be clean as first glance. After I turned on the lights and opened the shade I noticed the carpet lacked vacuuming, bathroom floor was dusty. I noticed a chocolate chip and something else under the coffee table. There were French fries between the bed and night stand. The desk and tv area had a layer of dust. “The staff was friendly and accomodating”

“There were a lot of knats/fruit flies in my room. I suspect it was from general humidity and the A/C in my room which was the old kind of wall unit that drew air from the outside and probably had a bit of condensation. I doubt that anything could have been done about it, but it was annoying. There were only 10 channels on the TV - no HBO or movies offered.
