Hotel vicino a Van Schaick Mansion - Cohoes

“The hotel itself was nice, just as pictured & conveniently located, served its purpose. The room was nice a bit larger than expected & beautiful river view however to be a newer I was surprised that our initial room smelled like mildew/mold. The smell came from the bathroom which was right by the entrance so soon as you walk in it hit you. I believe due to the showers not having doors the water escapes into the flooring or somewhere. They graciously gave us another room which was better smell...

I understand things happened so I didn’t think it would be a problem but the next day I went for breakfast and upon returning to my room key cards did not work. Went back down to front desk and asked the manager to check lock because the night before I had the same problem. He refused to come and check with me and reprogrammed the key cards. I...

“Good place to stay”

“Room was in an awful location. Had to listen to people coming up and down the stairs all night long, slamming the stairwell door. The room had bugs, and was in poor condition.”

“Upon check-in, I requested that my membership QR code be scanned. However, the front desk informed me that this stay would not qualify for stay credits and did not scan my QR code. Additionally, the bedside lamp was missing a light bulb, the television was constantly freezing and would not allow channel changes.”

“The room was not cleaned well. Especially the refrigerator. I was so grossed out by it I had to clean it myself. I also took a rag and cleaned the bathroom floor, it felt sticky. The breakfast was just cereal, yogurt, muffins, not bad for just a basic grab and go. The hotel is in a convenient location. I don’t like how they seem to try and rush you out at 9 am when checkout is at 11am and some people (like myself) like to sleep in a bit.”
