Perfect concert-stay venue

5 minutes walk to Rogers Arena and 2 minutes to BC Place. Always friendly and helpful staff (have stayed there several times before). Rooms clean and very comfortable beds - decor starting to look a little dated, but really nothing to worry about. Frankies Kitchen provides breakfast and dining and they have a bar with live music somenights also. Short walk to Skytrain and Robson Street for shopping. Great little hotel!

Conveniently located near Pac Central Train Station, Yaletown and BC Stadium. Love the fact that my room had hardwood floors. Lovely room with tall ceilings and marble sink/counter. Very comfortable bed. Very welcoming staff.

Wonderful staff and rooms. Easy walking distance to highlights. Erin at the Front Desk was very helpful in planning what to do. Breakfast at the restaurant was tasty.

Sadly disappointed

We had a very warm welcome and even connected on a few things making for an exciting and optimistic start. This sadly changed once we got to the room and found it dated, highly warn, a big fly buzzing around and what really pushed it over was that the sink would properly drain and left standing water. We contacted the front desk and they said they were fully book and could change rooms and there was no one available to near check out time the next day. In the end we had the option of breakfast vouchers or a room that was suppose to go to another guest I was told but who hadn't shown up. It just didn't feel ethical to switch rooms knowing that the next guests would be placed in ours with the broken sink and less than expected conditions. For a near $300 room you would expect much more. For a $100 room I would expect this basic service. Upon checkout I tried to share the issues again but simple received a very programmed response them at they were sorry and to let them know if they could help in the future. Sadly nothing happened or changed. We really wanted to like and appreciate this high end luxury hotel but were sadly disappointed from the room, ability to provide basic services, to the staff who didn't seem to want to help or accommodate to the needs of their patrons. I hope The Georgian Court will get in touch with me and reimburse for this bad experience.

Happy with choice

I was on a quick trip to BC for an appointment. I chose the hotel due to location and safety issues as I was traveling alone. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out was quick and painless. The restaurant staff and the food were excellent as was room service. I just wish that Robson street was still as nice as I remembered!

Nice place to stay

I go to Vancouver few times a year in the past 7 years, I would like to say this is the best one I every had in the price between 200-300/per day hotel. It feels like home for me, the only thing is we want to stay one more night but the hotel is already full... Maybe it's really good for every one!

We can't sleep well because the noise outside the building. The front desk personnel gave use free parking for compensation.

This hotel was nice and in a pretty good location. It is in Yaletown and walking distance to Gastown. Several cafes, restaurants, and shops close by. Elevators are slow and a pain. Staff is pretty nice - some more helpful than others. Room was nice and clean- good beds etc. you need either a cab or public transportation to get to Stanley Park area. Felt safe too, including at night.
