“Very beautiful 100 year old house, with period furnishings. It is very clean and the hostess was nice and helpful. It is walking distance to the town of Barre which has several dining options and nice downtown. The breakfast was excellent, made with local produce and ingredients. It is a great location as a base to visit different places in Vermont.”

“No anonymous decor here. Each room in this converted old home was uniquely furnished with period furniture and comfortable, though our room could use a good deep cleaning. Breakfast was very good and it was an easy walk to everything in town.”

The baggels and especialy the raspberry spread that was delicious, not to mention the hospitality the owners oferred was bar none. “This is an amazing Inn (Bed and Breakfast) that we stayed at. The two owners, Brandon and Susannah, are amazing and generous hosts, with homemade cookies (yum!), breakfast and many other amenities on site. They also gave excellent recommendations, not just for the local area but also for the rest of our holiday in the USA. My partner and I absolutely recommend this place for anyone looking for a home away from home.”

“We had a wonderful stay at Talta Lodge. The grounds were beautiful, and the river was a peaceful place to relax. The complimentary morning coffee was a great way to start each day. Our room was cleaned daily, and we really enjoyed spending time on the balcony, taking in the natural surroundings and listening to the birds. One small suggestion would be to replace or empty the outdoor garbage bins more frequently. They were full of dog waste bags, and the heat from the sun caused an unpleasant...
