Welcome to Ben’s View Lake House, the ultimate destination for families and groups looking to create lasting memories. Our spacious 5,260 square foot home, featuring two fully-equipped kitchens, is designed to comfortably accommodate up to 12 guests, making it ideal for large gatherings.

Exclusive Amenities for a Memorable Stay:

- Luxurious Master Suite: The master suite offers deck access, a Jacuzzi tub, a stand-up shower, and ample closet space for a truly luxurious experience.

- Connectivity: Stay connected and entertained with satellite internet and TV, ensuring you have access to your favorite shows and online content.

- Waterfront Leisure: Our large dock includes one covered boat parking and one additional spot, a jet ski ramp, a paddleboat, and paddleboards.

- Pontoon boat and Jet Ski Rental: Deposit needs to be made 60 days prior to stay

All rentals include a full tank of gas and must be returned with at least a 1/4 tank.

Rental Requirements
• Must be 21+ to operate any watercraft (valid driver’s license required)
• Prior experience operating a boat or jet ski is required
• Liability waiver must be signed before rental

Deposit Information
All deposits are fully refundable if the equipment is returned in the same condition it was received.

Peaceful location, lovely home

The house fit our needs perfectly! Plenty of comfortable gathering spaces for the whole clan with other spaces to be alone and read a book or enjoy nature. Our week was HOT so we really appreciated all the fun things to do at the house. We also rented the pontoon and had multiple fun and enjoyable rides. Our hosts were responsive and helpful. We have decided to return next summer for our next family reunion/vacation!

Best rental we've ever had

Hands down the best property we have ever rented. It was very clean and the kitchen is actually stocked for cooking. The layout is super convenient with the entertainment areas far enough away from the sleeping areas that people can rest undisturbed if others want to stay up chatting. The beds were comfortable and plenty of extra blankets, which is frequently not the case. Gorgeous view and nice quiet neighborhood. The hot tub was very clean as well, and warmed up for our arrival, which was a nice touch. 10/10, will be staying here again.

Great family vacation!

We had 12 family members from 3 generations on this family vacation ranging from 22 months to 62 years old and there was something for everyone. The game room, the pool table and the hot tub were awesome. We would love to go back during the summer when we can enjoy the water too. The two full kitchens made it a perfect place to have our family's Thanksgiving dinner! We also made use of a park about 10 minutes away that we saw on the way back from the hiking trails about 20 minutes away. That was the only time we left the house. We highly recommend this home for a family (or friends) getaway. We're going to suggest this location for our church's pastoral retreat.

Absolutely Phenomenal

This is, by far, the most amazing vacation we have ever taken. We have been many places and on several cruises where they wait on you all day long but our five nights spent here FAR outweighs anything else. From the moment I inquired about the property until the moment that we left there was nothing but perfection. When they say they have everything you need- they are not lying. If we literally would have come with just clothes we wore would have been just fine. There are two separate areas to wash clothes. The home itself is amazing. So many bedrooms and extra beds we could have easily fit a whole other family. The amenities- pool table, air hockey, trampoline, etc. we didn’t even have enough time with five nights to enjoy it all. The views and the quaint small town are like nothing we have experienced before. I will tell you there is no Uber or DoorDash (which is so nice) but if your battery dies on the first day call East Alabama Truck Repair instead of trying to find transportation to buy a battery. They’ll get you going in 45 minutes. We also visited Flat Rock Park, Cheaha State Park and Majestic Caverns. An amazing, perfect trip. Thank you!

Ideal for Families

This house is perfect for a family or families. There are six bedrooms, two separate well-stocked kitchens and lots of things to do. A trampoline, pool table, air hockey and lots of games are available. The dock is spacious, comes with a pedal boat, paddleboat and even a selection of life jackets. There are steps to the lake, but two of us are 78 and went up and down each day. Check-in was easy and the hosts were easy to communicate with and helpful. We hope to return.

Wonderful house!!

We had such a relaxing visit. The house is so clean and so well stocked. This stay was an adults only getaway but we are DEFINITELY coming back with the kids. This place is perfect.

Cool, HUGE lakehouse

Plenty of space for our whole group and lots to do on rainy days when we couldn't go down to the water. They have all the cooking utensils you could possibly need and plenty of extra towels and blankets for everybody. Probably the easiest, most pleasant check-in and check-out process I've ever had. Lake Wedowee Winery & Brewery was a close and fun stop with a lot of unique wines and friendly people.

Perfect size home for large family

Every year we get together with our grown children and grandchildren. Because of the close proximity to our home and the beauty of Lake Wedowee, this is always the area we choose for our family vacation. This home definitely offered what we were looking for. It’s very large, giving each group space, but also has an open floor plan for all of us to be together as well. The home was in great condition, very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. It had so many toys from a hot tub, pool table, ping pong table, basketball game, etc. down to many games to choose from. The deck was huge and had beautiful views of the lake and wooded areas. We had a perfectly relaxing week and enjoyed our stay very much! Thank you.

Great Family Getaway

This house was great for our large family weekend. It is very spacious and we had plenty of room to spread out and not feel cramped. There are tons of games and activities for everyone in our group, ranging from 1 to 68. The main kitchen was great for our meals and plenty of seating. The house was very clean on arrival with plenty of linens for the beds, baths and kitchen. The docks are great for fishing or playing in the water. This is our 2nd time renting this house and we will be back.

Wonderful peaceful getaway

The listing does not do this place justice! It is spacious and exceptionally peaceful. Our family gathering was perfect due in large part to this rental. We had more than enough space to gather together and enough space for everyone to spread out and relax. The facility is exceptionally well supplied. And the view!!! Family Spring Break - Perfect

Our family had a blast! Plenty of space with activities and games around the house. My tween didn't even spend time on her cell phone. The host was very accommodating, letting us stay longer on Easter Sunday! Can't wait to come back when the river is up.

This is our 3rd time coming and every time is amazing. Our family loves the location because you have so much to do. We went swimming every day, fished, and just relaxed on the deck watching the sunrise. The host is wonderful and we will be looking forward to our next visit.

Best vacation ever

We took a trip with our small group and families! There’s were 8 kids, 2 teens and 8 adults. This house housed all of us easily and we never felt crammed. The main level was open floor concept so we were all together even when we weren’t in the same room and the deck was our favorite place to eat lunch and dinner! There is ample room when we needed to “escape” the kids for a little bit, we also could easily banish them to the coolest basement ever with all the fun toys you can imagine. It’s a hill to get down to the lake but I was thankful to work off all the extra calories from junk! The homeowners have made some pretty amazing updates throughout the house and EVERY adult raved about the beds (which is always hit/miss with rentals). There are tons of extra linens, pillows and bedding it made life so easy! I wish I could rate this rental with 100 stars. We made some core memories. I can’t say enough about how thoughtful this rental is, from extra beach towels to a plethora of kitchen utensils. These owner have truly have put a lot of thought and love into this! We were so thankful to stay in such a beautiful place!

Lake Wedowee Jewel

This house on Lake Wedowee is fantastic! It's large enough for everyone to spread out and enjoy. The hot tub was a big hit with the kids and adults alike and so was the pool table. Paddleboards and a little paddle boat are at the dock for even more fun out on the water! Brittney is an A+ host and we will definitely be returning!

Ben's View Lakehouse

This listing was just as advertised. The house is huge and the amenities were outstanding. it has everything you need for a big family get together. We played pool, ping pong, corn hole, space evaders, basketball, and air hockey. The dock has two paddleboards,(careful that the Obama's aren't around), a paddleboat, and life vests. The kids used the hot tub two nights and we used the fire pit to make s'mores. All in all a good week and Brittney, the host, responded back with each message i sent. She wants to make sure you have a good time and is really helpful. We enjoyed the lake as we had a boat and a tube for the kids. The lake was actually very quite. It was hot each day and i guess that might have kept the boaters off the water....great for us. Thanks Brittney!

Family get away

Home was clean and ready for our arrival. The leather couch in living room is comfortable, beds are also comfortable. Kitchen chairs aren’t comfortable and outdoor chairs don’t have cushions. If traveling with older adults, know it’s a steep climb to go up and down to lake. The deck and pier are lovely. Our family and both labradors had a great time swimming in the lake. I recommend also bringing your boat or renting. The lake is big!

Great Lake Vacation

This house has everything! There are so many games and activities for all age groups to enjoy. The deck seating provides a beautiful view of Lake Wedowee. The kitchen is exceptionally well stocked. The linen closets are well organized for easy access to extra blankets and pillows. The beds are comfortable with fresh smelling linens. We will definitely return to this house.

Perfect lakehouse for family gathering

This was the perfect lake house getaway! This host thought of absolutely everything. We were able to gather four generations of family together. The kids loved the air hockey, trampoline, ping pong and basketball, while the adults played pool and relaxed in the hot tub. With two kitchens and a grill outside meals were easy to prepare and many smores were made at the fire pits. Sunrises over the decks and watching deer through the kitchen window over a cup of coffee were another favorite. I was also impressed with the wifi service for being such a remote location. I was able to get work done remotely while the kids enjoyed their spring break. We will definitely be back when the weather is warmer to enjoy the lake, but didn't even miss getting in on this trip since there was so much to do.

Amazing, great home and Host!

We do a family spring break every year. We chose Ben’s View Lake House in Wedowee Alabama. Coming from Florida I had no idea where Wedowee was, and I live in Montgomery AL for 10 years prior to moving to Florida. What a fantastic little town. The winery in town was stellar! We spent an afternoon there talking with the gals behind the bar and the owner. Amazing wine and craft beer…. A must attend! The girls took off for a visit to Desoto Caverns and really enjoyed it…. Now to the house, it is fantastic. We were there in very early cool spring and were able to view the lake through the leafless trees on a very spacious deck, it was breathtaking. We built a fire every night inside upstairs and down, as well as both fire pits outside burning each evening. The kids enjoyed the basketball, pool table, trampoline, air hockey, and the space invaders game. The adults loved the cornhole, fire pits, and having two complete kitchens to cook for everyone. The hot tub was a nice add as well. You won’t regret this gem of a find. There was a lot of construction going on outside with the wood being replaced and this house come the summer will be the place they be if you’re a water person. Brittany was very responsive and she was easy to work with. I would surely recommend this home to and large family get together. I’m sure we’ll be back one summer!

Relaxation at its finest!

My husband and I spent Valentine’s week at the cabin. The home is simply perfect! We enjoyed the numerous activities the home has to offer, from playing pool, to snuggling up by the fire overlooking the water, to the pristine hot tub. It was a great getaway for just the two of us but I can see how a large group would also enjoy everything this home has to offer. The owner was very accommodating and communicated well. The home was fully appointed with everything we needed for our stay. Thanks again for letting us visit your beautiful home.
