Hotel a West Ishpeming

“The overall accommodation was not great, but was kind of what I had expected. The main issue was with the check-in process. The motel claims that they had sent an email detailing the exact address of the office as well as the room number and the lock code to enter the room. Unfortunately, I did not receive that email from Expedia until the following morning. As a result, I spent almost an hour trying to find the office which was slightly offsite and had a lot of difficulty getting my room lock...

“When we arrived, was notified there was 2 bedrooms and not 3 as listed in Expedia site. No refund or 3rd bedroom unit available since I booked with Expedia. The house had a stinky oder. One of the frying pans had rust on it. The dishwasher had ? Clean dishes in it. Tables and counter top were well used. The main couch was well used and not comfortable. It would have been nice to have chairs on the deck. The beds were comfortable and linen were clean. Loved the pool, sauna and hot tub.”

“The beds were comfortable and the location was easy to get in and out of. The breakfast was mediocre (really need some decent protein options!). The staff was mostly helpful. The lady who checked us in had great suggestions for things to do in the area and we appreciated that, but on two other occasions I asked the front desk for something and they didn’t follow through.”

“The location on 3rd street was walkable to multiple restaurants and shops as well as next door to the dome. The sauna was new and well maintained along with the exercise equipment. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast with the variety of options available! The room was clean. Washing machines also available. No complaints!”

“This place needs a bit of updating - new paint, carpet, etc. The hostess in the morning was not friendly. I had gone into get 2 cups of coffee - had them in my hand and was JUST looking in the dining area to see what they would have available when the time came for them to serve. She basically shouted from behind the desk "we don't start breakfast until 7" This was in front of other customers. Her delivery should have been a bit more professional. I'd give her a rating of 1 out of 10.”

It’s located in a very good spot in Marquette allowing for easy day drives to fun and breathtaking tourist destinations in the U.P!”

“The Hampton has amazing views of Lake Superior, especially from the breakfast area. The location is walkable to various restaurants and bars and the bike path is right behind the property.”

“Cute hotel the rooms are very nice and large …. This location is family friendly + pet friendly. Historical buildings around the hotel walkable to most things in town + restaurants . We would definitely stay here again next time we are in town .”

“The room was wonderful! Nice, modern, and very clean. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was good although the times were a little too early especially if you want to sleep in. No gym use during construction. Pool we didn’t use but it was pretty small. Like others have said, there’s no actual lakeview as there is a row of trees blocking any type of view of the lake so don’t bother paying extra money for that. The walking path right outside is wonderful! Would stay here again!”
