“Clean rooms”

“This is overall a good hotel. I know this review isn't going to sound that way but I rely on Expedia reviews and want others to know what to expect. It is very bare bones. There are basically no amenities. No laundry. The wi-fi is basically non functional. No ironing board (though there was an iron). No microwave. Towels are small and very minimal (we only got 3 for a 4 person room). No hand towels at all and only 2 washcloths. It is also right on a major highway so you WILL hear a lot of...

“The shower would turn to scalding water during a shower without any warning. We went to the office. The lady at the desk smiled at us condescendingly and said , “The pipes are old”. My husband, a paramedic and firefighter told her she should not rent the room to anyone with children or risk a serious injury to a child. She shrugged and said she’d have someone take a look. Nothing changed and no one looked at anything.”

“Staff were very helpful and always cleaned the rooms. Rooms were big enough for 3 adults and also had free WiFi on the premises. This was also super close to the boardwalk and places to eat so we didn’t need to drive anywhere. Parking is assigned but parking is more for compact cars. We had a big SUV which made parking tight but the staff allowed us to double park. Overall will come back and stay here when I visit again.”

“We stayed here while my daughter was playing in the Battle on the Beach Flag Football Tournament, and the location couldn’t have been more convenient. The man and woman at the front desk were both incredibly friendly and welcoming. I wish I had gotten their names so I could recognize them personally! The gentleman even gave my dog a toy, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The motel is pet friendly and had free parking which was a huge plus. “Great service, 1 bedroom suite is huge and located on the first floor. It was perfect for my daughter’s 13th birthday celebration. It had a private back door as well. “Room was bigger than expected. Renovated. Close to boardwalk. We will book again. Front desk staff was very friendly & housemen too! Note: parking at the resort is piggy back and you’re required to leave your car key at the office in the event someone needs to leave. I would bring an extra key so in the event you accidentally check out like I did and forget your car key. Front desk called me to tell me I left it. Luckily for me we didn’t leave the island and I was able to pick it up same day.”

“I would give this property 0 stars if I could. I booked this hotel through Expedia for my family of four because I specifically needed a room with two double beds. After an issue with my initial payment, the hotel insisted I had booked one of their tiny “A” rooms with only one double bed. I strongly believe my reservation was changed during the payment issue because I would never intentionally book a single bed for four people. The staff placed us in a room with two beds for the first night...
