The 2 ladies that greeted us on arrival were welcoming and showed us all (4 guests) to our rooms. Evening meal in the bar was great too, cold and frosty outside, the pub reminded me as something out of The Holiday!!!”

“The staff were courteous on arrival and gave us a tour of the beautiful building before showing us to our room. The house and surrounding environment were superb. The room was comfortable and clean albeit a little too warm at night. Our breakfast was tasty and varied served by a very polite young lady. We enjoyed our brief stay very much and would recommend it to others. ”

“The room was clean, well designed and very comfortable. A soap dish would have been useful for the soap that was on offer to use. The heated towel rail is a necessity but not particularly well placed above the toilet (although I could not see another suitable place for it). The hotel was under renovation at the time. The builders were polite and considerate and any noise (not much during our stay) ceased at 5pm, as promised. We had a wonderful time and stayed an extra night on the strength of...

“If you are looking for a boutique hotel with a good "value for money", here you are. In the city centre, wide rooms, very clean, lovely furniture, warm welcome, nice breakfast. The cherry on the cake is the restaurant downstairs: lovely food and very nice wines. I will stay here again”

“Very comfy big bed, shower and taps took ages to get hot, but eventually did. Lots of tea and coffee options in room together with a fridge with wine and snacks if required. Breakfast was excellent. Staff very friendly. Bit strange going in and out at back of the building, but happy to recommend as somewhere central to stay.”

“We had a really enjoyable stay. The hotel is lovely and conveniently located just a short walk from the town centre. Our room was beautifully furnished and the bed was extremely comfortable. The only slight downside was a bit of noise from the road, but it didn’t spoil our stay. Overall, a great experience and we would happily return.”
