“Unable to get a receipt when I checked out. Was told Hampton Inn had none and it had to be sent to me by Expedia, with whom I had made the reservation. Would appreciate one being sent to my email as an attachment.”

“The room was nasty stains on the bed and comforter. The bathroom bath tub was not clean at all the room was not well kept at all. Looks as if house keeping didn’t change the sheets or bedding. I had to strip the bed myself and when I stiles the bed from the dirty bedding. The were stains all over the mattress and mattress's topper. So bad that I booked to stay for two nights and I left the next day.”

“DO NOT BOOK! This is not a hotel. Not sure what it is but it is something shady. Undercover cops watching it. Office is falling apart. No sign on building. No cars in parking lot at 10pm. No one available to check us in. Ended up having to find somewhere else to stay last minute out of fear for our safety just being there. ”

This is not a luxury or vacation style hotel, but it serves its purpose well for short stays. As a solo traveler, I felt safe and comfortable throughout my stay, and the property was quiet and easy to navigate. “Room was clean. Pet rooms smell pretty gross though they need new carpeting and the breakfast area is tinnnnyyyy. Waffles for breakfast delicious. Great kitchen staff. The girl at the front desk was pretty rude about early check in and the parking lot was empty.”

“This building is beautifully and thoughtfully decorated. We stayed in "Kate's Room" and the bits of history and decor were elegant and deliberate. We had everything we needed and more. The bed was comfortable, and the house was quiet. We will, without a doubt, stay at the Shamokin BnB again if we find ourselves in Shamokin.”
