“We stayed two nights at the Old Vine. The location was excellent, walking distance from the Cathedral and shops. The room was spacious, clean and generously equipping with all the amenities you would expect.”

“Lunch was wildly expensive but breakfast was good. It would have been helpful to know we were on the 3rd floor no elevators and tiny circular stairs. For those with some mobility challenges it’s a hike!”

“The entrance and reception area were quite good, it felt as though you had arrived at a nice modern hotel. The receptionist was friendly and check in was speedy. Our room was on the first floor and first impressions of our room were good, spacious, plenty of storage, bathroom ok, tea/coffee and a large tv. However, on closer inspection there were some cleaning issues. The vent on the electric heater didn’t look as though it had been cleaned for ages- discoloured and dusty. The overall appearance...

Il bagno era stato pulito molto in fretta, se era stato pulito: sul lavandino c'eral'impronta di una saponetta usata precedentemente, la parte del WC sotto l'asse era sporca di urina in più punti. Il pavimento del bagno era stato scopato, ma lurido perché non lavato probabilmente per più giorni. Nella teiera nell'armadio della camera abbiamo trovato le bustine di té bagnate del cliente precedente!...

“Upon arrival, I was initially assigned an occupied room. The place was unstaffed, and the provided phone number was unreachable. I had to ask other guests for an alternative number. I called, texted, and left a WhatsApp message on that number, but received no response for at least an hour.When I finally received a text message with details for a new room, I found the bed was broken and the room was freezing cold. A staff member told me he would come to fix the issue but ultimately never showed...

“Terrible. Not at all as advertised. Front door was unlocked and open on arrival. Room door was open on arrival and unlockable. Room window was damaged and stuck wide-open, completely unclosable. I called the contact number and had no answer and received no call back. I arrived towards midnight at the property and still chose not to stay here.”

“Great hotel. Staff were good but let down with restaurant weekend staff that could have done more. I kinda felt they didn't make an effort asking a colleague or finding out to andwer my questions instead of just saying "I don't know" Got my simple request wrong 3 times which was a shame. In the end I didn't insist anymore as I felt will just add to my stress.”
