“Charming hotel, with a lot of history, with its links to Donald Campbell and Bluebird. Room was cosy and comfy, and staff were so lovely. Really amazing location, with geat views and a fantastic beer terrace. Food was excellent. Could not fault it. Will definitely be staying again.”

“We had a lovely weekend stay at this country pub with rooms. The owners are lovely and very friendly and welcoming. Its a dog friendly place, so for us, that was perfect. Our room (room 2) was on the ground floor and had a door leading out to the garden, great if you have a dog. The room was a good size and very comfortable, with tea and coffee making facilities, tv and a hairdryer. The king sized bed was good and the bathroom was lovely. We ate dinner and breakfast here both days and the food...

“The hotel was very well presented in a scruffy and disappointing town. The quality of the catering at the hotel was exceptional. Some of the best food I’ve eaten in an hotel in a very long time. The menu was imaginative with some nice detail and the delivery exceeded expectations. The town wouldn’t attract me back but I would be prepared to travel some distance to sample the food again.”
