The weekend coincided with my milestone birthday, and to my complete surprise, the wonderful team at the Loft, made it all the more special with a birthday message, a box of chockies and some sparkling. “Overall stay was pleasurable. Nice cottage and quiet surrounds. Just a few things- Lucky key box was already open as we weren’t sent a code or check-in details. Cobwebs and dust hanging from windows, ceilings and fan was an eyesore. In the accommodation folder says bacon, eggs and yogurts were supplied for breakfast, no yoghurts, and weren’t expecting Aldi packaged sliced ham instead of bacon and Aldi prima’s. No curtain to cover the window facing the loft bedroom which let the hot sun beam...

“The accommodation was reasonably good, breakfast was provided in the fridge, all you had to do was cook it. My Autistic 7-year-old grandson loved the spa bath and would have stayed in it day and night if I had let him. The unit was two bedrooms, each with a king size bed that was comfortable and warm. “It’s very dated and gives domitory style accommodation. Walls are very thin and I could hear everything in the next room and corridor. I could hear a man in an adjuscent room snore the whole night. Staff are not available onsight after-hours. I had to walk a very long way from my room to get hot water/tea and use the microwave which is in the common room, because the taps closest to me were broken. My room was full of ants and the bathroom tiles are brown with stains. Bed not so comfortable but...
