“Lovely place to stay. Although it is an older hotel and rooms they are always upgrading and maintaining it beautifully. The staff are very friendly and helpful.”

“Unfortunately, we did not enjoy our stay due to an aggressive and abusive resident. After receiving a meal he was not satisfied with (and declining a full refund that was quickly offered) the resident verbally abused staff for 10 minutes using racial slurs, calling them ‘peasants’ and ‘servants’, swearing, threatening them and smashing his hands and food on the counter. “Our kids had an absolute ball, staff were lovely, and had everything we needed. Unfortunately for us we went for the 2 days this year that we got torrential rain and suddenly chilly winds, bad luck for us. We were unable to do mini golf, go carts, or jumping pillow as they were closed off. Kids loved the splash pad so really happy that was still able to be used. Great value for money though, hope to go back when it’s sunny!!!”

“Excellent location within walking distance to the centre of town and across street from a good brew pub. The rooms were large and had a nice traditional heritage feel to them without being dowdy. Friendly staff. The restaurant is only open a few nights a week and was closed when I was there.”
