“We arrived around 11:00 am, even though it was too early for check in. The owner allowed us to go ahead and park (for free) and he took our luggage up. We made the walk to town in 10 minutes. When we returned that evening, our luggage was in our room and the snacks and wine we brought were in the fridge. The room was lovely and comfortable. The bathroom was extremely clean. Plenty of towels, pillows and blankets. Noise from the street was minimal. We will definitely stay again!!”

“The room was meant to be soundproof but could hear next door for starters, then we seen it wasn’t a king size bed but two single beds put together which wasn’t very comfortable to say the least. Also two of the rooms I’d say are used for permanent residence. Then passing pedestrians through the night was noisy was irritating to say the least. We couldn’t work the heating system for the room. ”

Ho dovuto spostare un comodino perché mi era caduto un orecchino e ho trovato molta polvere. Il posteggio è comodo, costo 15 sterline al giorno”

“Struttura moderna, camera spaziosa e molto pulita, personale cortese e disponibile, prezzo ottimo e soprattutto posizionato a due passi dal centro di York. Se il parcheggio interno è al completo, la struttura offre la possibilità di posteggiare nel centro commerciale adiacente ad un prezzo di circa 8 euro per 24H. Consigliatissimo”

“Clean and central to shops and other attractions. Comfortable bed and lovely big bathroom.”

“The room is outdated, grubby carpet, creaky floors, you can hear everyone walking above and below you. The noise outside keeps everyone from sleeping. No double glazing. The toilet didnt flush, you had to wait for water to fill up - which took ages. The location was good and so was the water pressure in the shower. That was it!”

“Struttura tipica e caratteristica del posto, architettura e giardino piacevole, MA personale scortesissimo, abbiamo dovuto passare la prima notte fuori dall albergo per aver ffatto mezz ora di ritardo dal tempo massimo del check in, camera eccessivamente piccola e nella sala colazione siamo stati cambiati di posto, rispetto a quello prescelto, nonostante in struttura eravamo gli unici.”

“Excellent family run hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was cooked individually when ordered and not pre cooked left to dry out on the side. Only five minutes from the Minster so easy to come and go. Would thoroughly recommend.”

“This property was lovely. Located within a short walk from the train station as well as from the city centre. The staff were incredible, and very friendly. The man working the front desk (I did not catch his name, but he was there the morning of April 1st) was lovely to chat with and very helpful! The room was small but had everything we needed, was very clean. The bed was also very comfortable. The only thing I would not recommend is the continental breakfast. You don’t get much for £10.95,...
